"Brian", Belle exclaimed, unconsciously tapping his knee. "Roger is here".

The words coming out of Belle's mouth had surprised Brian, who swiftly turned to her. "Where?"

"Over there", Belle said while discreetly pointing out to Roger and his group of friends.

"Belle, your luck is a kind of magic!", Brian chirped.

"What? No", Belle shook her head in denial. "I don't know why the heck this happens to me".

"Oh, c'mon Belle", Brian took Belle's wrist. "What's wrong with Roger being here? You should be happy. Let's greet them", he said while pulling Belle by the wrist, but she pulled back.

"No, Brian, wait. I don't think he remembers me anymore".

"Who cares, Belle? Let's greet them because a friend of mine is talking to him too", Brian repeated his action of pulling Belle by the wrist, succeeding this time.

Every step that Belle took towards Roger and his friends made her heart beat incredibly fast, the feeling almost weakening her legs. But her nervousness didn't last long, as she saw Roger leaving to a quieter place to pick up a call.

"See? He left", Belle whispered to Brian, thinking they could maybe go back to their table.

"But he's coming back, he left his drink and coat on the table behind him".

"He probably left because he saw me", the brunette girl said, not very sure of her words, since there were a lot of people in the venue for Roger to notice.

"Are you being serious, Belle? Number one, this place is too crowded. Number two, you just said he probably doesn't remember you anymore".

"I know, I know, Brian", Belle assured. "It's just that my mind is bringing up way too many thoughts right now, everything is happening too fast", Belle tried to finish her sentence quickly, since they were getting closer to the place they were walking to.

"Henry, my good friend, how are you?", Brian reached out to his friend by tapping his shoulder. Belle tried to hide behind of him.

Henry turned to him and shook his hand. "Brian, so good to see you! How is France treating you?", Belle was surprised that Brian was friends with him. He looked at least ten years older than her friend.

"It's been good so far, my best friend Belle's stepfather invited us to watch the first show of his tour and here we are. If John Deacon is inviting, it's impossible to say no!", Brian and Henry laughed.

"That's good, man", Henry said. "Where's your best friend, though?".

Brian looked around for a few seconds before he noticed she was hiding behind his back, so he moved to the side. "Here".

"Good evening", Henry shook hands with Belle. "My Goodness, your cheeks are burning red! Did the alcohol kick in way too fast?".

"No, I don't drink. It's just that-"

"It's just that we are playing hide and seek with the paparazzi", Brian interrupted her, and Belle secretly thanked him, since she had no idea what to say. "Look, the paparazzi are already zooming their cameras", Brian pointed out at the door, where photographers were actually having a discussion with a socialite.

"I see", Henry nodded. "Wait, you're Freddie Mercury's daughter, right?", Henry asked Belle, slightly raising his eyebrow.

Belle took a deep breath before telling him that he was right and then giving her weekly speech about how great her father was and hearing compliments about his music. She was grateful that people thought the wonderful things they said about her father, but if they could maybe change the questions they asked, that would probably be better.

"And how is Freddie Mercury as a father?"

She was ready to answer Henry's question, the well-rehearsed explanation was very clear in the back of her mind. But her mind suddenly went blank. Everything around her disappeared. She saw Roger coming back, fixing his hair with his shirt slightly unbottoned. That was her very own idea of heaven, seeing Roger walk towards the place she was, looking like the most handsome person she had ever seen.

And there he was. It took him a second before he made eye contact with her, but when he did, it felt as if she had lived her entire life for that precise moment.

Roger felt the breath escape from his lungs before he could catch it. She looked different, but still had the same doll like beauty he saw in her years ago. And she was thinking the same thing about him: Roger wasn't the same bubbly long-haired guy he used to be, he was now a serious father-of-three short-haired guy who was running one of the biggest businesses in the country. They looked so different compared to the last time they saw each other, they weren't the same people anymore, but that didn't matter, because they still were able to find the spark they found in each other years ago.

"Good evening", Roger greeted Brian. "It's nice to see you're joining us today".

"Thank you Mr. Taylor, nice to see you tonight", Brian politely said.

"Good evening, Miss...",

"Damn, he doesn't remember me," she thought. "Belle Bulsara... Belle is fine, actually," she replied.

Right after she said that, Roger cursed himself in the back of his mind. He very much still knew her name, so why did he ask her again? It took him a few microseconds to think about what to say in order to avoid sounding too rude.

"Oh, I'm sorry, it's just that your hairstyle makes you look different", he said with an awkward smile.

Belle was quickly thinking about what to say next until she felt someone's presence behind her.

"Belle", John called his stepdaughter's name, grabbing her by her upper arm. "Excuse me, but we need to go".

"Why?", Belle turned to his stepfather, Brian leaning closer to hear what John had to say.

"Belle, we need to leave, please", John said with a strange tone.

"What happened, John? You're scaring me".

"Freddie had a car accident".
