I ate my ramen, or rather slurped it, and continued to watch the TV. After I had finished my ramen I took the empty bowl into the kitchen, stumbling the entire way. A nice person would have washed it but I'm because I'm lazy as all hell I left it there and resumed my post on the couch. Mahiru came back into the living room, probably from the kitchen.
"We should get going if we want to get your clothes without your foster parents knowing." He said. I nodded and Kuro just poofed into his cat form before clambering onto Mahiru's shoulder. I slowly stood up and looked around for my shoes. I found them by the front door and I put them on.
"Are you sure you wanna come y/n, it's not exactly a good idea after being stabbed ya know." Mahiru said with concern.
"I know it isn't but you need my help to find my house afterall." I replied. With that out of the way we stepped out of Mahiru's apartment and towards my house. I had to lead the way after we had gotten to the store where we had encountered Belkia however. After many minutes of hard walking we made it to my house.

"There's a ladder around the back so let's use that." I suggested. When I went to get it Mahiru stopped me and demanded that Kuro did it out of consideration of me. I thanked Kuro and Mahiru for that and climbed up the ladder. I opened the window quietly and stepped I to my room. I had many many suitcases underneath my bed so I pulled them out to put in the clothes and necessary things such as all my technology, school supplies, my manga and anime collection, my many anime posters, a couple of films and books and a photo of me, my mom, my dad, and Rin. I used up four suitcases altogether. I leaned out the window and there was Mahiru, waiting for me to pass him a suitcase. After five minutes of doing that I began to write a note to Rin.
Heya Rin. I know you're so worried about me at the moment but I'm okay. I need to stay safe so I'm staying at Mahiru's apartment for the moment. It wouldn't be smart of me to stay here with 'them' because they'd abuse me and I don't want an encounter with Belkia. Meet me outside school on Tuesday if you can.
Love, y/n.

I left the note on my dresser before clambering out of the window and closing it behind me. Once at the bottom of the ladder I began walking with Mahiru and Kuro, who was in his human form to carry the suitcases. He was probably ordered to do that by Mahiru now I come to think about it.
"You sure that you don't want me to carry one?" I asked. Mahiru shook his head.
"You took serious damage during your little mix up with Belkia so I'm surprised that you can do this much." Mahiru said with a sad chuckle. Most of the walk back to Mahiru's apartment was peaceful and not many people were around which made us look less suspicious overall.
"Just so you know you can stay as long as you like y/n." Mahiru laughed, "as long as you work with the rules." He added. My heart felt warm at he thought of staying with my first ever friend in the new town, I felt so special. Or maybe it was simply just the aftermath of my stomach wound.
"Thank you so much Mahiru." I said with as much excitement as I could currently muster due to my state. He laughed and Kuro made a small, not exactly annoyed, 'tch' sound.

Kuro must have flung his head around to the side suddenly because his bell jingled. We had kept to mainly the shadows so that not many of the people who were on the streets could see us. Most of the ones who did however see us more than likely thought that Kuro was just a fucked up furry or something similar to that. We didn't spend that much time on the streets and we're back at the flat in no time at all. I slipped my shoes off at the door and left them there as neatly as I could be bothered to leave them. Mahiru put the suitcases he had carried down by the couch and Kuro did soon after. As I walked a couple of steps forward a wave of dizziness came over me and I began to stumble across the room. I tripped over my own feet in the end and landed in someone's chest. They did not move to hold me steady and didn't make any signs of being affected at all. It was somewhat cold and I couldn't feel let alone hear a heartbeat. Clearly Kuro.
"Would you get off me, I have better things to do such as sleeping." Kuro sighed. I grumbled.
"Nah I'm too much of a lazy ass to do something that takes up as much energy as that and I'm pretty comfortable actually." I half giggled.

"What a pair of lazy asses."
