Lapis POV.
"So... this is the place?" I raised an eyebrow at the surprisingly clean building. There were 3 bartenders helping various customers, and "Gives you hell" was playing.
Peridot just shrugged. "I guess. This is where Ms. Roland said he'd be..." she looked away in thought, making an unsure face "then again... she hasn't talked to him for awhile... and he's graduated now..."
A few whoops came from the dance floor as some long haired girl danced with a guy with a vest on. They were really good, but when the guy reached out his hand for hers, she slid smoothly past him in a strange move, and stuck out her tongue, laughing as she moved over to where a group of girls were laughing with her.
The guy looked pitiful. But I didn't come here for random sappy romance from complete strangers. I followed Peri down to the bar, and a tallish strawberry blonde smiled at us.
"Hello, welcome to The Gem!" Her hair was short, but looked a little slicked back.
"Hi, we're looking for... a guy that comes her alot?" I spoke. Peri didn't seem to mind me asking, in fact she looked a little uncomfortable. I guess clubs aren't really her thing.
The girl raised an eyebrow, but kept her smile. "What for?" I took this as she would be cooperative, but I didn't know how to answer. Do I say were investigating? Do I say we're cops? Before I could try to answer, peri leaned on the counter by her hands.
"Does the uh... name, Casper Qoures ring a bell?" Peridot blinked and narrowed her eyes, I assume trying to adjust to the flashing lights from the dance floor.
The girl leaned over and sat her head in her hands. "You know... that does sound familier... but I'm not the best with... names... hold on let me get Gina." She stood back up and walked over to another bartender, a even taller black woman.
She said something, pointing at us, then raised her hands just about to her shoulders and shook her head. The taller girl, Gina I assume, walked over, while The customer she had been serving was taken on by the first girl.
"You're looking for casper?" I nodded. I looked over at Peri, who looked like she was gonna throw up, but she took a deep breath and stood again.
"Yes, we need to talk to him. Is he... is he here?" Peridot looked a little sick, but maybe that was just the lights. I'm sure if she felt really bad she'd tell me.
Gina pointed over to a corner booth, where a large, buff guy was sitting, a giant grin on his face. There were 5 girls sitting with him, including the one from the dance floor.
How had I not seen him before.....?
"Though, he's had alot of drinks, and let me tell you, if you get him too upset he'll start wrecking things." Gina' s face was blank, then she stood and shrugged. "Just figured I would warn you." And walked over to help a drunk girl who was laughing and begging for another shot.
I looked at Peri, who was watching Casper. "So we have to interrogate a drunk, angry fool. Great" she growled, pushing off the counter slowly. I followed her.
We got to th booth and stood in front of it, and the girls, and Casper looked up.
"Hah look! More ladies...." he looked at Peri for a second. "Oh, sorry man, LADY." He moved his eyes over to me, looking me over. "And a fine one at that.."
I growled and rolled my eyes.
"Not here for that, creep." Peridot seemed just as angry, which surprised me.
Peri sighed and spoke again. "We're here to talk to you about... Allie Roland?" Caspers smile faded.
"Ladies... excuse us?" He shood them away, and they seemed annoyed. "Allies been gone for years, what do you people want from me?"
He shot another flirty glance at me, "not that I mind YOU being here~"
I gave a look of pure disgust. This guy was unbelievable. He was probably the "bad boy" in highschool. Otherwise I couldn't see what Allie would want with him.
That and the fact im... haha.
Peri still sounded agitated, and attempted asking more questions about Allie and him. More specifcly where he was and if he could remember anything different from that time.
Whenever he got the chance, he would shoot me a look, and though I tried to ignore it, it was hard when he was maybe 4 feet away.
"...and You and Allie broke up when? Was there a specific reason?" At this, Casper stood. Leaning over the table with a angry expression on his face.
"It's none of your business RUNT. Allie is gone, and I don't think I like your tone. I'm done talking." He smiled back at me. "Im still down to talk to you, sweetness~"
I was about to say something when Peri cut in.
"Stop that! She could not be any less interested in a drunk moron like you. And I have more questions!" Her eyes were burning with such a hatred, I was almost scared.
Casper slid out of the booth. "I don't think I was talking to YOU." He put his fist in his other hand, and I heard his knuckles crack.
This could not end well.
