I need this... I need YOU! (lapidot Human AU)

Peridot POV.

We had to break the kiss eventually, and I. Slowly opened my eyes. Lapis was staring back at me, smiling. She lightly gripped the hand I had layed on her cheek, and I felt myself smile, as well as blush.

"Wow...." Lapis giggled at my response. She leaned forward and kissed my cheek. "I'll take that as a compliment~" I blushed harder, but my smile grew wider and I looked down.

I really was falling for lapis...

Lapis lifted my head back up, and I saw a slightly nervous look on her face. "Peri... can I stay the night?" She looked back at me. I could almost drown in those deep blue eyes.

But I blinked myself out of the slight trance. "Of course... why wouldn't you be able to?" By now we had leaned back to normal sitting positions, but our fingers were still intertwined.

"I don't know..." She laughed nervously and closed her eyes as her mouth formed a smile.

So beuatiful... I unconsiensly squeezed her hand and she looked up. I was in a small trance, just staring at her.

She tilted her head a bit with her eyebrows down in confusion, but a small grin still on her face. "What?"

I broke my trance again and blushed. "Uh... sorry... nothing." I turned, mentally slapping my face.

Lapis wrapped her arms around my shoulders and I looked up.

"Can... can we cuddle?" I saw that she was blushing a bit as well. I suddenly gained some confidence. We like eachother, we had just had the best first kiss, and she was asking to snuggle.

"What was that?" I smirked a bit and leaned forward. "Wanna run that by me again?" She frowned and pushed me away while facing the opposite direction, blushing harder. My sly smile faded.

I crawled and wrapped my arms around her from behind. "I was just playing... sorry..." I set my head on her shoulders, but she didn't move, keeping her arms crossed.

I felt myself ache a bit, which surprised me. I knew she didn't hate me... why did her ignoring me hurt so much?

I pulled her closer, but stayed silent. "Lapis.... Lapis please I'm sorry.... I won't tease again... we can cuddle... don't be mad..." I felt like a child begging for something. I hated it, but at the same time I wanted nothing more than to hold lapis in my arms tonight.

Lapis breathed out a bit, and glance at my head on her shoulder. Her eyes softened and she sighed. "I can't stay mad at you..." She said in a serious tone. She turned and pecked my lips, leaving me in a daze again.

She giggled. "Dork. You ok?" I sighed happily.

"What are you doing to me?" I said it softly, but her face changed to one of surprise. I felt my face get red again.

Oops.

Suddenly lapis was laughing. I swear it was the most beuatiful sound... She fell over, laying on the couch while laughing almost hystariccly. I could see a few tears of laughter forming and I couldn't help but feel my lip tug back up into a smile.

"Ahhh oh peridot...." She giggled, sitting back up. "How can a tough Agent be so goddahm adorable?" She looked at me in the eyes again, the scooted closer, laying her head on my shoulder again.

After a few minutes I felt myself relax, and a soft snore come from lapis. I turned and saw that her breathing was slow and steady. I smiled and picked her up, laying her down before laying down next to her.

She groaned a bit in her sleep and shifted, snuggling closer to me. I felt myself blush again, but she was so warm.

I wasn't going to complain.
