third person pov:

"alright, we have something other than power puff tonight. a good friend dropped this off the other day so let's make the most of it." d said, the four younger killjoys waiting patently at the table ahead of him were waiting pinkly for the food. d drove over in his chair, setting a few pieces of chicken on the table. one per person. everyone's eyes were lights in the pitch black.

"oh my god, i haven't had this since 2011!" pony screamed, instantly taking a piece and putting it on their plate. cherri laughed and took one, as there was a knock on the door behind them.

"did someone hear? cherri go see who it is. it's probably some lost killjoy or drac." dr. d said, taking a piece for himself. cherri nodded and excused himself from the table with soap, and went out of the main room to the door.

"I'll guard him." pony said, standing up after taking a bite and standing by the door way, looking at cola.

"alright, who's-" cherri said, but instantly stopped once he saw who was in front of him.

cherri stared into the mountain eyes, familiar bone structured killjoy ahead of him. short brown hair and a little developed but as much as it would be until they obviously ate. the girl in front of him latched on immediately, as he hugged back hard. artillery's eyes were tearing up just as cherri's were.

"where the heck have you been kid!" he said, very surprised. artillery just held on, crying into his shoulder.

"everywhere" she said, finally letting go of the taller man.

"why are you here?" he asked, then pony came bustling behind him in orange, blue, purple.

"okay what's the big-" they stopped, and instantly hugged artillery too.

"showpony!" she said, hugging her, rain flooded her eyes as she tried to look inside the small cabin.

"where the hell have you been? we thought you were long gone!" she practically yelled, d, party, and ghoul were intrigued inside.

"the zones. i need help." she said, pony and cherri instantly payed full attention.

ace's pov:

"what's up?" cherri asked, with a smirk on his face.

"so pretty much what happened was..." i started, then explained everything that happened that day to them. they were good listeners, intently nodding when they had to as if they understood completely, which they would've anyway. they knew kobra and jet better than i did by a long shot to a drac's head.

"wait, the bodies aren't goo?" pony asked after i was out of breath.

"the air in battery preserves the bodies so they can make batteries out of the decomposing energy." i quickly explained. cherri looked at pony.

"ew, those bastards." cherri said, i nodded, letting him hug me again. i hadn't seen him since i was three.

"well, what happened to them, do you know?" i asked, cherri looked to pony again, running a hand through his slowly thinning hair.

"what?" i asked, they both looked with yellow, red, and blue in their eyes, pony's blue and cherri's brown.

"should we let her in?" he asked.

"she needs to know cher, she can't not know any longer." they asked, turning the knob on their back. cherri sighed.

"if this is what i think it is." I said, keeping a straight face. they were hiding smiles behind their blank faces, they never hid them easily. cherri went in first, pony kept me outside.

"so, um..." he started, pony chuckled.

"what a cute dork." they said, i laughed silently and tried to peak inside, but pony didn't let me.

"we have someone who um, well needs to be seen by someone other than cacti." cherri said, i heard rustling of dr. d's chair moving forward, and two other unidentifiable noises. i looked up to pony, who just smirked yellow, orange.

"come on in kid." he said, pony pushed me inside the small cabin as the sky was pink nd orange outside, i held the strap of my backpack with a serious face but on the inside i was beaming to see dr. d again, but i wasn't prepared for the other people in the room.
