-Chanyeol-
I looked down at Chenlu, who was resting her head on my lap, as she stirred in her sleep softly, mumbling some incoherent words. I smiled as I moved a strand of hair from her face, tucking it behind her ear.
She was so cute.
"I can't even begin to tell you how creepy it is to witness you just watch my sister sleep." Yixing said, a look of disgust on his face as he shook his head.
"How do you know whether or not I'm looking at her? You've been attached to your laptop the whole day." I retorted in a hushed tone, sticking my tongue out at the elder. "It's like you're dating the thing, you haven't looked up from it once!"
Yixing rolled his eyes as he gently shut his laptop closed, careful not to break it. He clicked his tongue and ran his hands over the smooth top of his computer. "How would you know if I've looked up from hiccups or not? You've been to busy making heart eyes at my sleeping baby sister!" He retorted with a smirk.
"Leave him Yixing," Jongdae chuckled with a smirk on his face. "He's smitten."
I opened his mouth to deny but the challenging look that he received from Jongdae and Yixing made me rethink his actions.
I was smitten.
Nothing had progressed between Chenlu and I. Between finding out what happened to her in high school and fighting Haneul, neither of us really had the time to move forward.
But that was okay for me, I had fully prepared himself for having to move a bit slower with Chenlu than I would have with most other girls but delisted this, the little things still mattered and made me feel warm on the inside.
Like how when she was tired, she would and lean on me and say that my bigger frame reminded her of a cuddly bear and how whenever she caught me looking at her, she'd stick out her tongue playfully.
But what I'd enjoyed the most, were out late night conversations after everyone had fallen asleep. Although it always took Chenlu a while to speak up and most nights, she'd just listen to me talk, just the simple fact that she was becoming very comfortable with me made me happy.
I'd learnt a lot about Chenlu from those talks.
Despite thinking that she was useless and not very good at anything, Chenlu had left school with straight A's, could speak 5 languages and could dance and play the guitar like her brother.
I giggled at the thought of tiny Chenlu holding a tiny guitar in her hands.
I was smitten indeed.
"Hold on, I've just clocked." Sehun said as he looked at Yixing with raised eyebrows. "Did you just call your laptop hiccups?"
We all looked at Yixing, waiting for his response.
"...possibly."
No one did anything. I guess we were all just trying to process the fact that he actually named his computer hiccups because we all just stared at him with blank faces.
Kyungsoo snorted. "What a loser."
"Hiccups? Really?" Suho asked him in disgust.
"Hiccups is adorable! Leave her alone she's my little princess!"
"Hiccups is a she?!" Baekhyun guffawed, his eyes widening.
"It's painful to listen to you talk right now." Jongdae said, shaking his head in disappointment.
"Looks like Chenlu has a rival." I giggled, throwing my head back as Yixings eyes darted around the room in embarrassment, his cheeks turning a bright pink colour.
Once the laughter had died down and everyone had resumed back to what they were doing, Yixing cleared his throat, mumbling something to himself in mandarin before making eye contact with everyone.
"All jokes aside, I need to tell you all something." He said, biting his lips nervously. "Chenlu's been here a while and she's become really good friends with you all and that makes me really happy...but.. it's- it's time for her to go home."
My heart dropped.
She'd been here so long that I forgot that she would eventually go home. I didn't want her to go home. Why now? When we were finally starting to get somewhere?
"Wha- when?" Baekhyun asked as he stood up in shock, glancing at the sleeping girl on my lap. "How comes she never told me?! When's she leaving?"
Yixing bit his lip again and glanced at me, making everyone else look at me too. "You can't get mad." He said, playing with his tickets. "She leaves in three weeks."
"Three weeks?!" Jongin repeated, pushing his eyebrows together.
That was barely anything, that would come just as quickly as the past few months had gone.
I wasn't ready for her to leave.
Why didn't she tell me.
"What's all the shouting about?" Chenlu groaned as she sat up, rubbing her eyes and her voice still croaky.
We all looked at her not knowing what to say.
"Chan? Are you okay? You look angry." She asked, poking my cheek. I shoved her arm away from me violently and she flinched, backing away from me slightly. "D-did I do something wrong?"
"You're so full of shit!"
Lolololol results day is tomorrow, if I never update this again and all my mutuals never hear from me, I died or am crying myself a river :)
