Hello.

I've had the worst pinch in my back since school started like 3 weeks ago. -_-

Enjoy~

(Y/n)'s POV

"Meg, AJ, this is Dan and Phil. Dan and Phil, this is Meg and AJ," I said, gesturing to each accordingly. "Anyone need more coffee?" They all raised their hands in unison.

"I'll help you," Phil said, placing a hand on my back and shoving me towards the cash register. It was odd that Phil would leave Dan alone with 2 new people, but I had no time as he practically shoved me to the short line.

"Woah, someone's eager to get his coffee," I joked.

"Have you hung out with Dan lately?" He blurted and I gave him a strange look.

"Not in a few days. We had coffee like...3 days ago?" I said.

"Hmm, I don't know he's just acting so strange lately I wanted to know if you knew," he said. I nodded and glanced back at the table. Dan was smiling, probably a little awkward too, but that was fine. I sighed.

"Speaking of Dan, him and I were talking the other day, about Adam, and well...you've always been good at being my fairy godmother--"

"Fairy godmother?"

"Yeah. You always had a gut feeling about guys I dated or decisions I made. I really should've listened to you more," I said, my face rosy.

"I guess, so what's the problem?" He asked as we moved up one place in line.

"Well, talking with Dan we sort of came to the conclusion that I didn't really know Adam very well."

"You talked with Dan about this?"

"Yeah?"

"Okay, continue," he said, mentally noting things.

"So he suggested that we spend our limited time together doing stuff the other person likes so we can really get to know each other. I just feel like if I tried getting him a gift I wouldn't know what to get him. He didn't seem over enthusiastic about the idea either. We haven't done anything. I think he'd be better off with some scientist girl," I explained. I glanced up at Phil for reassuring words, that I was just overreacting. We shifted up a spot and he let out a breath through his nose.

"Well...I'm really not in any position to tell you how it is black and white because I don't know," he paused. "All I can tell you is try to figure out if you love him. And I can't tell you what that would feel or look like because it's set specifically to you. I don't know if when you love someone you know immediately or if it takes time. I don't know how you define it."

"So I have to define love first? To decide what?"

"Well, it seems that you're considering your compatibility with him. You don't want to stick yourself with him if he's not right for you and I'm sure he doesn't either." He stopped and we ordered all the coffees. We stepped aside to wait for them.

"Thanks," I sighed.

"I know it's probably not something you want to hear, but I can't really do what I used to. I don't know Adam enough to judge him and you probably know my stance on the whole dating thing."

"What?" I asked, taking my drink off the counter while the barista went to get the rest.

"I know it's been a long time, but I still think he's good for you," he said. I paused and glanced at the table. Dan laughed at something Meg said, probably something self deprecating. They had that in common. I caught my lip between my teeth. Dan caught eyes with me and smiled. I smiled back and looked away, leaning against the wall. "See what I mean?"

"Shut up," I mumbled.

"Yeah okay. Honestly from what I've heard about Adam I think he's a good guy, you guys just don't spend much time together and if that's causing so much of a problem that you guys are barely dating then maybe you should reconsider dating him," Phil said. He picked up the coffees and I picked up the ones he couldn't carry.

Phil is always right. I set the coffees down and cleared the table of my notebooks and papers which I should've done before. Meg adjusted her beanie, used to hide her messy bed head and put her worn out, blue converse on my jeans.

"You're going to get your dirt on my nice black jeans," I said, pushing her coffee to her. She gave me a look and slipped them off to my horror.

"There, happy?"

"No, now you're not wearing shoes. This is a public place."

"No shirt, no shoes, no service," AJ added and she flicked her pencil at him. They really do just love fighting with each other. "Okay, rude."

"Mmhmm shut up Barbie," she sassed and sipped her coffee.

"Okay, why don't you come over here and we'll fight, I swear," AJ threatened.

"What are you going to do? Draw me to death?" She snorted and I smacked her arm.

"Be nice, dear lord," I said.

"Fine, fine, can I have your notes please?" Meg asked and I gave her a glare. I pulled my notebook back out. She leaned over to take it from me. "Wow they're both cute, score for you," she whispered and I nearly choked.

"What are you guys working on?" Dan asked.

"New horror, kind of romance-ish," AJ responded and I nodded.

"What's it about?" He asked.

"Can't really tell you, but right now we're working on the love aspect," I said, watching Meg scribble some things down. I watched Dan peek over at my notebook and I felt half tempted to stop him, but I just let him read.

"You wrote this?" He asked.

"Yeah, she just pulls that stuff out of her head like it's nothing," AJ said. Dan smiled, clearly impressed and the tips of my ears were bit with red. We continued to chat for a while until Meg invited herself and the other 3 along to my flat. We were walking along and I hugged my messenger bag to my side. "Hey (y/n)?"

"Yeah?" I glanced around to AJ who was catching my attention.

"What do you think?" AJ held out his sketchbook for me, showing a photo realistic drawing of my face, including the jewelry I was wearing that first day.

"Woah," I murmured.

"You want it?"

"Really?!"

"Yeah, of course," he smiled and I gave him a quick side hug, promising he'd give it to me later so I wouldn't crinkle it. I felt warm eyes on me and I glanced behind at Dan who was watching. I grinned at him and he smiled gently back.

I feel like my writing is getting worse and worse -_-

In class we had a descriptive writing assignment which should be easy, but it was terrible and I hated what I wrote.
