"Don't worry about it, the Cullens and Hales are freaks." Mike snorted. Hazel was about to ask why but their biology teacher, Mr Molina began to talk so they both paid attention. When the class had finished, Mike invited her to sit with his friends at lunch which Hazel hesitated, but accepted. Even though she wanted to, Hazel couldn't spend the entire year alone. Mike followed her all the way to the lunch line as she made her salad then led her to a table full of people. She hesitated but sat in the empty seat in between Mike and a curl with curly brown hair who's eyes lit up when she saw Hazel.

"Hi! I'm Jessica! You're Hazel right? Hazel Thompson? I go to your grandma's bookstore all the time. She's, quite a character." Jessica muttered. Hazel genuinely couldn't believe she had been sat with the girl for 2 seconds and she was insulting her Grams.

"I hope by character you mean, strong, independent badass woman who's running a business all by herself" Hazel commented back while stabbing her salad and taking a huge bite, staring at Jessica as she did. She had become very defensive over her Grams the past few days, probably because she realised how much her mother lied about her before.

"Meow put them claws away girl" another teen grinned, laughing at the sudden cattiness "my names Tyler, this is Angela, Lauren and Eric."

"Yeah we've been acquainted" Hazel said poking her fork at Eric "does he offer to show all the girls to the 'secret places' off the school or is that just for special occasions?" Causing Tyler to laugh out loud again while Eric blush. The girl Tyler identified as Lauren started to glare at Hazel, not understanding why a new girl thought it was okay to come and make her place in her friend group.

"You should have seen her in Biology too" Mike choked up opening his bottle of water "she full on flipped Cullen off."

"The guy was staring at me like a creepy doll" Hazel shrugged.

"Yeah he's not the only one, the entire Cullen table is staring at you." Jessica got involved again clearly forgetting Hazel's comment, rather choosing to throw herself back into the gossip. Hazel made a mental note not to trust this girl with a secret, she's no A that's for sure.

"What?" Hazel mumbled turning around to where her table was looking. She recognised Rosalie and Edward but the others she had no clue apart from the fact they were all inhumanely beautiful and all had the same golden eyes.

I wonder if there's a spell that could make me as pretty as them Hazel thought, catching the fact that Edward's head snapped up and stared at her again, but he began muttering to his family.

"Who are they?" Hazel asked, clearly intrigued by the group in the corner.

"Okay so they're the Cullens and the Hales. You have Edward, Emmett and Alice Cullen and then the two twins Rosalie and Jasper Hale." Rosalie had a twin? Hazel turned slightly and met the eye contact of the other blonde who she guessed was Rosalie's twin. She literally gasped quietly when they made eye contact with the familiar feeling of her power electrifying her skin. He was by far the best looking out of them all, he had honey blonde hair that rested in waves framing his face. He was muscled, not shredded like the other dark haired guy she assumed was Emmett. But even though his eyes were the same gold as the others, she could not look away.

"So I don't even know if this is illegal because basically, Doctor and Mrs Cullen fostered them all. Well apart from the Hales they're actually Mrs Cullens nephew and niece. They fostered cause they couldn't have kids or something"
