"Hello?" She said putting the phone in speaker mode and resting it in her lap. She put her seatbelt on and quickly reversed into the road heading towards the Cullen's house, her navigation system telling her where to go.
"Hey! It's Alice, just wanted to check if you were okay?"
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Hazel frowned to herself, how did this girl always have an idea on what's going on in her life?
"No reason! I just wanted to check you're still on for later!"
"Yeah I'm on my way over now I should be like 20 minutes." It was really only fifteen minutes, but Hazel felt the urgent need to stop and get coffee after what happened.
"Okay awesome! My mom just wants to know if you don't eat anything? Like any dietary requirements."
"Oh my god yeah I forgot!" Hazel exclaimed, grateful to Alice for checking "I don't eat meat, I'm vegetarian."
"So are we" Alice laughed "see you soon!" The phone went off and Hazel just shrugged to herself. She pulled into the Starbucks drive through, got her coffee and headed to the Cullen's. She began to feel wary when she noticed the route was taking her deep into the forest, deep away from the town
Why do people feel the need to live so far away from town? I guess they hate people too.
She arrived, her mouth widening in shock as she took in the Cullen's home. She knew being a doctor paid well but seriously, this place was a freaking mansion. She switched her car off and grabbed her overnight bag she placed in the trunk before the seance. She didn't even have chance to knock on the front door, as Alice swung it open with a squeal.
"I am so happy you're here!! Come in" Alice all but dragged Hazel in, causing her to slightly trip "okay I have so much planned for tonight."
"I thought the whole reason of me coming over was for me and Emmett do to our sociology project?" Hazel raised her eyebrow, taking in her surroundings. This place sure was fancy.
"Well yes" Alice rolled her eyes "but Emmett's done most of it so we can have a girls night!"
"Yay" Hazel said trying her best to be enthusiastic, smiling at the pixie. Girls nights weren't really her thing but she could see the excitement and the effort the girl had gone too, so she would enjoy it "can I at least just check Emmett's work? Not that I don't trust him but you know, this counts as my grade too."
"What? Do you not trust my sociological theories squirt?" Hazel turned and smiled at the boisterous boy walking down the stairs "and here I was being nice doing all the work so you can do a face mask or whatever."
"Don't believe him" a musical voice scoffed from up the stairs "he got Carlisle to help him."
"Rose baby come on!" Emmett groaned heading back up the stairs "will you stop killing my street cred already?!" Alice grinned at Hazel and nodded her head to the stairs and they both headed up. The smell of food cooking hit Hazels senses and she realised how starved she felt. She entered a kitchen and saw, who she assumed was Carlisle and Esmé cooking.
"Mom, Dad this is Hazel!" Alice exclaimed, them both turning smiling at the girl. Of course they were unnaturally beautiful, with the same golden eyes and pale skin as the others. Carlisle was a lot younger than what Hazel was expecting though, at least in his mid twenties with a charming smile that would put McSteamy to shame. And Esmé was just Snow White. In the flesh. She just needed birds to come and make a pie for her.
