"Is that how he got you?"
Katie turned and glared. "How I was recruited is none of anyone's business. I should be trying to kill you all right now and am instead strengthening your fire walls so some brainless soldier wouldn't be able to hack into the Atlas."
Coran sighed uncharacteristically attempting to think of a way to lighten the mood. He knew the girl was closed off and conscious, and he assumed that the red hand around her neck wasn't something she'd want everyone to see. "Princess Allura, maybe she should change from the armour to something comfortable? Less dangerous to us and something that covers her neck?"
"Indeed!" And there Allura was, dragging Pidge to the one person who might actually have something her size since Allura knew she didn't.
Veronica was confused when she saw the two girls in front of her door. It wasn't as if Allura and her were close, especially since the princess and Lance broke up. In truth, they just had no reason to talk much since they didn't have too much in common. Then she noticed the Executioner, with the hand print staining her neck. "What happened?"
"Nothing."
Allura sighed "She isn't saying but I was hoping you may have some outfits she could fit in?"
Veronica nodded "Leave it to me. Although, do you mind if it's private? I have some things I need to discuss with her."
Rather easily Allura left leaving Pidge to the McClain sibling. Although Katie doubted that the girl would harm her, she still didn't like the idea after all she did. Attacking and sharing information included. "Mind taking that all off?"
Reluctantly, she stripped out of the armour as Veronica placed several things onto the bed. "This top would hide, that, the best."
"Thanks." she mumbled almost upset that it was green. Ever since Pidge left, was taken from Voltron green just wasn't the same for her. Before it was special, beautiful and wild. Now, cold, merciless and dying. She was still mad at Lotor for making the main part of her armour green. Just proof that Lotor was an asshole.
"When we met, I wasn't sure you were Mryma."
"No?"
"The way you said you weren't Mryma."
Pidge was silent slipping on the pants that she was also given. After her hand went to her throat, frowning. Shiro just tried to kill her. Her Father held her. Allura and Coran tried not to treat her to differently. Veronica, a complete stranger, was giving her clothes. human clothes. "Pidge?"
"Sorry. And you can call me Katie. Pidge was just so I could sneak into the Garrison, plus it's what they all called me as a paladin."
"And here I heard you don't like it when they called you Katie."
She simply shrugged slightly tugging the sleeves past her wrists. The clothing fitted, and was comfortable but Katie was left to wonder why Veronica wanted to talk so badly. Probably about Lance. "You know, I think Lance likes you."
"I'm not looking for a relationship. He's a friend."
Veronica rolled her eyes "If you say so. Care to explain how you got a hand around your neck."
Katie shook her head as Veronica eyed her with a frown. "I know it was Shiro."
"How did you?"
"Iverson avoids you and the only other person aboard able to leave a handprint that big would be Shiro."
She sighed. It must've been a McClain thing she reasoned, to be so easy to figure out people and things that have to do with them. She didn't know if she liked it or not yet. "Makes sense. Can we not talk about how I, I, the business with Shiro?"
