**** Dr. Edwards and Salli's house in the m/m. ****
AMBER P.O.V.
A week later.
“Wow, babe I love their house. It’s all modern-ey.” I looked around at Dr. Edwards and his wife, Salli’s house in amazement. I hadn’t seen anything quite designed like this before.
Aug and I had drove from Atlanta to New Orleans to visit with them to try and work on our problems. We also planned for me to go meet with his cousin Sneak to get the info I needed to work on his trial before we moved to Philly. My mother was keeping Sata and that was cool, I think Aug and I both needed a break. Some time with just us.
“Modern-ey?” He furrowed his eyebrows.
“Yeah. This is a modern type of architecture . I thought I was a fan of the more traditional houses until I saw this.”
“Well I’ll buy you one after graduation.” He pecked my lips repeatedly, trying to lead into a full blown out make out session in somebody else’s house.
“Would you stop?” I pushed him away. “They can walk out here at any moment.”
“So, let them watch.”
I slightly tapped his cheek.
“Oww. Damn Amb, it’s still sore.” He rubbed his cheek.
“My bad baby.” I totally ignored the slowly fading bruise that was still on his cheek from the fight. I softly kissed it. He still gave me a stank look.
“You can so tell their psychologist. Look at all the books. I’m moving in.”
“Sorry to keep you guys waiting.” Dr. Edwards returned with a bottle of Vodka and shot glasses.
“My man.” August said to Dr. Edwards. “I been feening for a drink.”
“This is not for us to drink, drink. It’s for the activity. Salli!” He called out.
“Aw shut up man. I’m right.” She brought index cards and permanent markers.
“I don’t know if August told you, but our methods are pretty unorthodox.” He winked at August.
“Oh God, what does that mean?” I looked at August. “Please tell me these people ain’t swingers.” I whispered to him.
Dr. Edwards laughed. “No we’re not swingers. We just prefer a hands on approach to therapy, instead of telling you what to do.”
“Oh.” I responded.
“So Amber how is it being a mom?” Salli sat the index cards and permanent markers down on their coffee table.
“I love it, but she stresses me out. She’s so spoiled.”
“I take it August has her that way?” She side-eyed him.
“How did you know?” I smiled.
“You should see the way my daughter swoons of August when he comes over. The way he is with her, I was like I know if he has a girl she’s going to be spoiled rotten.”
“You just have a daughter?”
“No we have a little boy too. Their at my mother’s house now.”
“Aww. That’s what I want. A little boy.”
“A little August huh?”
I looked at August. “Nah, I change my mind.”
