STACY P.O.V. –
I was being nosey by the door listening to the convo between Aug and Trav. I have to admit, I thought he absolutely hated that I was stubborn at times. And he hardly ever gave me my way, but to hear him say that not being some weak willed woman and standing my ground was why he liked, meant a whole lot.
Trav was drinking a bottle of water by the fridge. I grabbed him by his waist and laid my head on his chest.
“You really meant all the stuff you said about me to Aug?”
“No. It just sounded good. I want my woman to do what I say, when I say and how I say it.”
I unwrapped my arms from around him and leaned on the counter with my right hand on my hip. “Excuse me?”
“If I say jump, you supposed to say “Trav how high?”
“Well that won’t be happening.” I snatched his water bottle and drank all his water.
He sat on the counter. “Let’s go out tonight.”
“Where?”
“I don’t know. What you want to do?”
“I don’t know Trav. You know I’m indecisive. You choose?”
“I don’t know that’s why I am asking you.”
“Well don’t ask me, because I don’t know.” I playfully kicked him.
“Keep your bear claws off me.” He wiped down his shorts, like I had put dirt on them.
“First off, I have pretty feet.” I stretched out my right leg, and wiggled my toes so he could see.
“For a gorilla yeah. Not for no human.”
I sucked my teeth and he laughed.
“Come on. Come up with something we can do. I leave next week.”
“Don’t remind me.” I could feel myself get sad.
“Hey, you cheer up over there Charlie. I’ll come visit you Thanksgiving break.”
“Thanksgiving break? Travis that’s an eternity.”
“We can FaceTime every day.”
“It’s not the same.”
“We’ll find a way. Stop looking sad.”
I sighed heavily and tried to cheer up.
“Honestly, I don’t want to go either.” He admitted.
“Really?” I said surprised. He never expressed that to me before.
“No, but I gotta go back. Try to find a job. I got fired from Target.”
I busted into laughter. “Amb told me about that. Well don’t go back. You can stay with me. Sublease your apartment.”
“No.” He shook his head profusely.
