You rolled over in your bed, a splitting headache waking you up. Suddenly, you felt sick, throwing up in a tin beside your bed. You groaned and rolled back over, resting your hand on your forehead.
"Alright, love?" a voice said beside you. And you screamed.
"What the hell are you doing in my dorm?" you yelled to the boy laying calmly next to you. "Um, we're in my dorm, and last night you said you wanted to have sex so that's what we did," he explained. As if it was nothing. As if this happened all the time to him. And only one person had that reputation. "Don't tell me I've just slept with Sirius Black," you muttered, feeling another sick pain in your stomach. "Sorry love, but you did," he said with a smirk in his voice. "I'm gonna be sick again," you said, grabbing the bucket beside your bed. "You can't hold your alcohol, can you?" Sirius asked, laughing. "How are you so- so perfect then?" you asked. "I can handle more than a few drinks, that's how. And don't get me wrong, my head is bursting in half, but I don't feel like acting like it is."
"That simple, huh?" you said right before you vomited again. You coughed into the bucket. When you turned around again, you sat up on the bed and leaned against the headboard. Sirius cleared his throat. "I'm not sure if this makes you uncomfortable, but you don't have much cover on the top part of your body," he said, cheeks turning red. Looking don, you only had your bra on and you quickly snatched the blanket up. "Pervert," you muttered, your own face turning red too. "I mean, it's not like I haven't seen anything, can you even remember last-"
"I never want to speak of last night again. Nobody can know about this, I don't want to talk about it anymore. If you bring it up again, I swear I'll make the rest of our time at Hogwarts hell for you," you threatened. Sirius looked into your eyes and gulped. "Totally cool with me. But, um, how are we going to get you out of here then?" he asked. "Um... uh... I can't think right now, my head's pounding too hard," you said, leaning back against the headboard once more. Sirius seemed to be debating something in his mind, and it looked like he had given in. "Ok, I can give you something to use to sneak out of here but you'll have to give it back or James'll kill me, alright?"
"Yea, sure, I just have to leave now," you managed, your head spinning beyond control. First, Sirius reached under the bed and you thought you heard a door open and he pulled out an ice pack. "This is for your head, let me get the cloak," he said after placing the pack on your forehead. He pulled back the covers, making sure you still felt comfortable, then went over to what you assumed was James' bed and lifted the pillow, feeling around underneath.
"It's here somewhere," he muttered to himself, before jumping in excitement as he brought over... nothing? Why was he so excited about this? Or were you still too drunk to perceive reality? At your look of confusion, Sirius explained, "James has an invisibility cloak that will keep you hidden to make it back to the girls' dorms. Just sneak in and give me the cloak at dinner tonight, okay?" "Kay," you said, trying to keep yourself from vomiting again.
"I'll guide you to the staircase but then you have to go to your dorm by yourself, alright?" he said. "I know," you snapped, "help me off the bed, I can't move." Sirius held back a laugh and picked you up bridal-style. When he tried to make you stand, you couldn't. You just felt sick. He sighed. "Well, this complicates the plan a bit. I'll try my best Y/N," he promised.
You're not exactly sure how you got into your room, but you remember Sirius holding your hair back as you threw up again in the bathroom. Slowly, you began to get a feel of the world around you. "Do you want to go to the infirmary Y/N?" he asked. "You really don't have a good tolerance, most people don't do this." You waved him off; you didn't trust yourself to speak yet. "Can you even talk?" he asked. You waved him off again. Why can't you just take a hint and leave? you thought angrily. After a few moments, you felt strong enough to stand. Sirius helped you up and you leaned on him.
"Infirmary?" you asked hopefully. "Infirmary," he sighed, picking you up bridal-style again.
A day later, you were let out with a potion to help your hangover and a detention with McGonagall. You thought about thanking Sirius. After all, he did help you when you were vulnerable. He was truly respectful as well, making sure you were safe and comfortable. But talking to him opened up thoughts about that night, about what you did, and you just didn't want to think about it. Anything related to that night shouldn't exist.
At dinner that night, you saw Sirius at the table. He walked over and sat next to you, away from the Marauders. You thought hard and couldn't think of any other time he had left the Marauders at dinner, let alone to come and see an old shagging partner. He slid his plate onto the table next to yours.
"How are you feeling?" he asked. You shrugged. "Better. Pomfrey gave me something for the headaches but I'm still feeling a bit nauseous," you admitted. "I think it's the fact that you and I..." you swallowed, looking around to see if anyone was listening. "I know," he said, "I haven't even told the Marauders, I don't think there's a thing I haven't told them before." Sirius swallowed and looked down at his plate.
"I'm sorry I'm making you lie to your friends," you said, "I just wish we didn't have anything to hide, that nothing had ever happened." He nodded. "Although, I don't regret it." Sirius picked up his plate and left to go back to the Marauders. "Wait," you called, grabbing his arm. He turned around, curious. "Thank you. For, everything," you said. "And if it counts, I don't truly regret it either." Sirius leaned in close to you. "Then why can't no one know?" he asked. "I- I don't know," you admitted. "I don't want people thinking I'm some easy person who anyone can just have." Sirius smiled a bit. "What?" you asked, annoyed.
"It's just that, apparently, I'm not just anyone."
Sirius walked away with a smirk on his face, then you realized what you had said. Oh my god, I just admitted that Sirius is kind of okay, you thought. Oh shit, he's never gonna let me live this down.
Three weeks later.........
"If what you're saying is true, Miss Y/L/N, then I'm sorry for you. I'll keep this secret for you, of course." You nodded through your tears as Madam Pomfrey sat at the edge of your bed. "If it helps, this isn't the first time a student has..."
"Gotten pregnant?" you asked, crying harder. "I know who the father is, that's the problem. I don't want to be bounded to him but I can't let this child grow up without someone else. That's how I lived and I can't let someone else live like that, not my baby." You wiped your tears away and Pomfrey reached her arms around you and held you tight.
"Is there anyone I can inform who will help you during this time?" she asked. "It is always a difficult thing to go through, but a parental figure who could help is-" "I forbid my mother to know about this," you cut in sharply. "Get McGonagall, please," you requested. "Of course," Pomfrey said.
