"That wasn't true."
"How was I supposed to know that?"
"You could have asked one of us."
"How was I supposed to even know that you guys would talk to me? I was sure that you all would hate me for breaking up with Cason. How was I supposed to know that you guys wouldn't try to punch me in the face or something?"
I debated that answer but asked instead, "Why did you push the rest of us away?"
"It was too painful," She whispered.
"Everything reminded you of Cason?"
"Yes, it did."
"What about the other night in London? Why did agree to see him?"
She sighed and said, "Well, technically, I didn't. Dylan arranged it."
"Dylan arranged it?" I asked, raising my eyebrow.
"Yes, he did. I mean, I wasn't too mad I guess since it was nice to see Cason again."
"He told me what he asked you."
"I suppose he did."
"What did you say?"
"You obviously know."
"Yeah, I know that you ran away from him."
"I freaked out, I'm sorry."
"What did you want to say?"
"I wanted to tell him that I loved him. I wanted to tell him so much. But I freaked out instead," She said with unshed tears brimming in her eyes.
"He's here now, Haven. You're here now as well."
"He has a fiancée."
"A fiancée that I really wish he'd fucking break up with," I muttered.
"I take it you don't like her?"
"What's the word you used to call Carrie?"
"A slag?" She asked.
"That means a whore, right?"
"That's mean the worst kind of whore you can find."
"Helena is that. I think I am going to go let them know that."
After a few more hours of basic catch up, I let Haven know that I had to go. I insisted on giving her a hug and I clung to her tightly. I whispered, "Please fix things with my brother."
Stepping back, she asked softly, "Please don't tell anyone anything I said. Keep everything I told you between me and you."
"I wouldn't dream of it, Haven."
