Chapter XX: Game of Survival

Start from the beginning

That wasn't the case as Haven and her dad were there in court.

I noted a third person who was unfamiliar.

He had blonde-brown hair and clear blue eyes. When I heard her talking to him, she had called him Cason.

It didn't take me long to figure out that this guy was her boyfriend.

The singular thought of the fact that she had found herself a boyfriend ran through my head.

They won and I sat in prison for another two years, taking beatings from the other inmates.

About two months ago, things looked up when a lady came to see me in jail.

She said she had a proposition for me: she could bail me out permanently and take me to a specific someone in exchange for ruining that person.

Naturally, I asked who that person was because while I was a guy full of hate, I wasn't just going to hurt anyone.

When she told me, I was happy that the name of the person was Haven Night.

That changed everything.

She let me know that Haven had been fucking her fiancée and it pissed her off. She needed to get Haven out of the way, and she needed someone who would go through with it. That's why she chose me.

She gave me a copy of the key to Haven's apartment and when I was sure it was clear that night, I let myself in.

As I waited for Haven to get home, I wandered the place.

I noted that she obviously had two other people staying with her by the looks of all the stuff. There was nothing permanent, however, and I remembered the lady saying that Haven was in L.A. on a business assignment.

I heard the door unlock and hid. I watched Haven walk in alone and set her stuff down. She turned towards the farthest back room before stopping suddenly. As she began to turn around to where I was, I stepped out.

"Andrew," She gasped, her eyes going wide as she took a step back.

"It's really good to see you, Haven," I said with clear malice in my voice.

"How did you get out?"

"I bargained with this nice lady. She said she would bail me out if I agreed to ruin you. That was the most amazing opportunity in the world, so I agreed. You ruined my life," I stepped close to her as I said these words.

"I didn't ruin your life, Andrew. You ruined your own," She said, flinching as I brushed her hair off of her neck.

"I could have gotten out. But, you had to show up and you had to ruin it!"

"You deserved to stay in prison!"

"I didn't deserve anything!"

"You killed my mother and you killed my sister."

"It's called an accident."

"You drove with alcohol and drugs in your system."

"What a mistake," I laughed coldly, standing behind her.

"You should still be rotting in prison."

"But, yet, here I am."

"You should go back to London and go back to prison."

"I LOST EVERYTHING BECAUSE OF YOU!" I roared out, shoving her forward.

She faced me before screaming, "HOW?! HOW DID I RUIN EVERYTHING?!"

"I was set to inherit everything! I was going to get all of my dad's money and I was going to have the business! I could have gotten any girl I wanted, and I could have married any one of them! Girls were constantly throwing themselves at me! I WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE EVERYTHING AND YOU RUINED IT!"
