"Size ten skates for me and a size seven for the lady," he says dropping a Benjamin on the counter for us both.
"This is going to end up so badly," I stated and his lips lifted in a half smile as he collected the skates.
As soon as I laced my skates up he extended his left arm towards me, "Take my hand."
I took his hand and he carefully led me onto the ice.
I skid a bit so I looked up at him knowing he did that on purpose.
"Jeremy, I swear if you make me fall..."
"I won't."
He holds my hand as we glide along together before he lets me go and I slowly find my rhythm.
I laughed, "I'm skating bro."
"Good for you," Jeremy said.
He skated away from me, doing tricks on the ice but I'm still a beginner so I played it safe by just slowly moving along.
This was a great idea, I already feel better.
"How you doing over there?" He yelled out to me.
Before I could answer, I landed on my butt. "I'm okay!" I yelled.
He skated over to me and helped me up, not without laughing of course.
"It's not funny," I punched his chest.
"It is. Just hold my hand, don't let go."
I looked up into his beautiful green eyes then down to his glove covered hand. I placed my hand in his and he guided me as we skated.
I laughed so much when we skid so fast along the ice. After a while we decided to go sit on the bleachers.
"I'm gonna get some food what do you want?" He asked.
"A chicken sandwich no..."
"No mustard, no ketchup and extra mayo I know." He finished for me.
How did he remember that?
His lips formed a smile before he walked off.
I was so consumed by my thoughts that I did not realize he had come back. He placed the tray with the chicken sandwich, cheesy fries and a bottle of water down for me.
Then he sat down and placed his tray on his lap. That's no doubt a double cheeseburger extra cheese, loaded fries, and a bottle of water.
Why did I remember that?
"You remembered that because we spent a whole summer together. While you like to pretend it never happened, I still remember."
Oh shit, I said that out loud.
"I don't do that," I replied before biting into my sandwich.
"Yeah you do. You act like we've never met, you act like I wasn't apart of your life and you act like I don't know almost everything about you."
I steered my eyes over to him as I listened attentively.
"I know your favorite food, I know your favorite movie and I know your favorite book..."
"I even know things that many people wouldn't know that I do. I know your dark, twisted fantasies, I know how your lips taste and I know exactly what to do to make you come."
I swallowed harshly as my pulse throbbed in the center of my throat.
I didn't expect him to say all that.
"But let's not dwell on the past," he said lastly.
After we finished eating we left the skating rink.
The ride back to my apartment was so silent except for the low music playing in his car.
He walked me up to my room like the gentleman that he was.
"Thank you for today."
"I just wanted you to be happy."
Then without thinking twice I placed my lips on his.
An anguished moan escaped his lips and I angled my head to deepen our kiss.
I can feel his heart hammering wildly against his chest at my unexpected action.
Deep intensity fills his orbs as we pull away from the mind blowing kiss.
"I'll see you tomorrow."
I couldn't say a word so I just nodded. I opened my apartment door with ease and shut it quickly once I was inside.
