There is a drop of my body heat, and I look at Alena. She seems fine. I look around for Bronya and she is nowhere in sight. Even if it's not my issue, an impulse make me get up from my seat and bolt out of the cafeteria to find Bronya.

I shouldn't be helping Bronya because it can ruin my mission, and I am going against protocol. But if she is alone with someone then she can have her cover blown. And that will lead to suspicion. I sprint down the hallway in the direction the impulse is strongest. I feel my control slipping but I push it down. Some of my only memories of my childhood creep into my mind trying to force me into it, but I can't let that happen.

Alena is right behind her footsteps quiet as ever as we were taught. Alena and Bronya are good competition for me. And they are good spies. If I am to beat them, I have to push myself harder.

I find the Lenaya boy standing there talking to something in a low voice. Something about a 'memory jerk.' Then a 'pirate.' I have no idea what was happening.

Then I look at Bronya. Her eyes are glazing over with the black goo. Nothing unordinary.

"We need you to go we will take care of her. You do not need to worry. She will be fine this happens all the time. Bronya get up," I tell her. Saying Brandy won't work at all.

Lenaya looks confused. "We have names for each other." Thank the gods for Alena's improve skills. Dang, she is good.

Bronya stands up gracefully as always and her glazed eyes wait for her next order. "Go to your locker I will meet you there." My sharp Russian rolls off my tongue. Before I look at Calvin I state, "When you go to a Russian science school you have to know Russian." Then walk off with Alena in tow.

"He knows," Alena announces quietly. I almost stop dead in my tracks but make sure to keep going.

"How?" I ask her. She shrugs.

"He knows about the memory thing. Did you hear the slightest accent to his words?" She asks. Alena is always quietly paying attention to detail. But is was right. He does have an accent. Almost English, but very subtle.

"You are right. As much as it pains me to say it and you know that." She laughs at that. I feels as if she is an ally in a way, but I must not dwell on that. She is just one person I am on a mission with. And we still have to prove ourselves.

We follow Bronya in a loose follow, and I still wonder how he knows. Bronya should be able to tell us.

"Report." I believe just being here is messing up my Russian.

"Lenaya called me to sit. Chandler Rodriguez said something that involved Lenaya being a playboy. Saying I was his girlfriend and asking if I was the twentieth one this week. I fired at him and ran off. Lenaya followed, and set me free."

I share a look with Alena.

"Get out of control." The black glaze flickers for a moment before it reduces so we can see Bronya's blue eyes. But the black is still there. She looks in between.

"What memory?" I ask her impatiently.

"I knew him before. Before I went to the Red Room. From my other life," Bronya's voice returning back to normal.

"So Lenaya was important during this time?" She nods. I share a look with Alena. Bronya's eyes are slowly returning back to normal.

"Do you know what he was to you?" Alena asks gently. Bronya smiles a bit.

"Yes, he was. He was my first guy friend. And my best friend's triplet brother. I do not remember the girl's name though. But he is hiding something. And I can not figure out what it is," Bronya reports her smile fading. She seems to be holding something back when she says it too.
