抖阴社区

I walk up to the front to see a young man, probably around his twenties.

"Do you make custom suits?" I ask.

"Yeah. Do you have a design?"

"Before I show you, do you make real suits or suits for kids?"

"Why?" He asks suspiciously.

"If I had to fight like it was bulletproof, would I win?"

The man stares me down for a moment, then laughs. Like, really starts hysterically. I narrow my eyes at him as he continues laughing.

I cough, not smiling. "A girl? Your age? Wanting a superhero suit? Superheroes is for boys kid. Go put some nail polish on and call yourself pretty."

I scoff at him, quite offended by this comment. This guy is a jerk! Not all girls are gonna be girly girly!

I let out a sigh, lowering my head. Am I really gonna be this person?

"Okay, can I speak to your manager?"

He shrugs his shoulders. "He doesn't speak to many people."

"Okay. Please tell him it's urgent. That I need a real suit. With real defense of fabric or metal like Batman or Superman would wear. Something real because I can show him proof of why I need it."

His eyebrows raise but he decides not to comment. He turns around and goes into the back room.

I sigh, looking around behind me. I see Billy and Freddy walking to school with the other four siblings. I really hope this is going to work.

"Hello?"

I turn back to the front. This man now seems to be in what seems to be his sixty to seventies. It looks like the manager.

"Come with me."

I nod my head hesitantly before following the man in the backroom. He shuts the door behind him before turning to me.

"Let me guess. You saw a wizard and he took you to a castle. Tested if you were worthy of magic and now you want to be a superhero now that you weren't deemed worthy to get the magic the wizard held?"

"Uhm..."

Is that what Billy went through? He must've been worthy if the others before him were not. Whoever was not worthy must've been pushed out until the true person was found, which seems to be Billy Batson.

"No. My friend is worthy however and he has a suit. However, I'm a kid who has powers ever since I remember and I need a suit because my friend has one automatically."

He doesn't decide to question about my friend's thing but narrows his eyes at me.

"You said you had proof?" He crosses his arms.

I throw my jacket off and the wings spread out. The next thing I do is try to use my superpower. The room is dark so only vague purple magic sparks from my fingers. But this is enough for the man to bring down his glasses and peer at me.

"Wow. Are...they real?"

I turn my back to him and jump up, flapping my wings. I then turn to him and drop back down.

"I need a real suit. Do you have something I can use? I'm not bulletproof."

"I do make real suits, for kids to have a better feel and feel stronger. To feel like it's the real deal."

"Such as muscle in the sleeves?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Well. Sort of. Not really. But you're more feminine so I can only add a little bit. This will make the fabric quite strong and not easily rippable. I've only stopped working and let my son control what's left because this store is failing after being accused that I could be the one who gave their heroes their suits. Which I'm not."

"How do you make your suits?" I ask curiously.

"For metal. My brother is a retired miner who was able to get strong metal minerals to make arm braces, something that Wonder Woman would wear to break the bullets that she reflects them. But her metal isn't of this place so it's not the same."

"Yeah, she has some sort of power in hers." I agree.

"I also go by leather, baldachin, corduroy which I recommend because it's thick cotton fabric. Gabardine, Mackintosh which is waterproof, velvet, chiffon, and more. Also, various metals that are sturdy for helmets, boots or arm braces."

"That's what I need. I really need that!"

"I'm willing to help. If my business is going down, then I'm going to help the first possible superhero I meet. Do you have a design?"

"I have three."

I open the journal and show him the designs, he takes a good look at all three.

"I see that all the designs have some control panel on the right arm. What is that?"

"My element is darkness and I need some storage unit to put darkness inside to use during the day. I'm not a bad guy because I have a family to protect and I can't do that with my bare fists."

He stays silent for a moment, then chuckles. "You do have a heroic glint in your eyes, so darkness isn't something I'm afraid of."

He then looks down at the journal. "I'm old so you wouldn't scare me anyway. Unfortunately, those control panels would take forever to do if I even knew how."

"Shit." I sigh.

"Sorry, kid. I would try but I know I wouldn't get very far. The rest of the suit I can still do for you. After all, I think this design will be a good idea to use for you. But it will take me a couple of weeks with hard work. My family apart from my son will be able to help."

"Your son sounds mean."

"He's arrogant." He sighs. "Can I rip the page out?"

"Sure. If you need it." I nod. He rips the page out then hands me my journal back.

"I'm not trying to sound creepy, but I need your number if I'm going to contact you when I'm finished."

I decide to pull out a pen and write my phone number on it before throwing my jacket on and hiding my wings.

"Thanks again, man! You're a lifesaver!"

He chuckles. "I'll try to not take too long with this."

"Don't rush yourself! Thanks again! Gotta go!"

"Have a good day kid!"

I run out the store with a wide grin spread across my face. I'm gonna get a super-suit! Thank God I went to the right place!! Now all I gotta do is wait and see what Freddy and Billy's next plans are!

But I still need some kind of storage unit thingy...I may really have to go searching around the house if my father is hiding something from me. Maybe Freddy's right, what if my father is hiding some sort of tech I could use? That would explain why my memories and flawed before I was seven, right?

As I continue walking, I glance up at the sky. One building sticks out from the city which is the Sivana Business Building. I raise an eyebrow up at it, then glance down.

Across the road, stands a man. He's bald, wearing sunglasses and dark clothes with a cloak. I swear his eyes are piercing into me and I gulp. I feel chills run down my arms as I stare at him. He smirks at me, before going to the right and walking off. I give him a weird look as he turns around the corner and disappears.

I try to think for a moment. Is he one of Dad's friends? Do I know this guy? Who is he? Why was he staring at me like that?

I shake my head and sigh, whatever that was, I don't know who that guy is. It'll only be a problem if I see him again. So I can't worry right now.

With that thought in my head, I flip on my hoodie before running off to the school zone.
