~24~ Seven Deadly Sins

I continue to struggle I soon realize, that my storage unit and arm pieces have been taken away from me. My helmet has also been taken off.

"Looking for these?" Sivana growls.

"Give them back!" Freddy exclaims.

"Not a chance." Sivana snarls.

I struggle again, Sivana must really want this power. He's sick! And evil! WHY!?

I just want to protect my family...They're my family too...

"Nice trick." Sivana says from afar.

Billy.

"Catchy. One simple word."

Billy stands in defense, not wanting to make a move as six sins have me, Mary, Freddy, Darla, Pedro, and Eugene.

"I have a better trick." He announces. "Four words. "Kill the loving girlfriend."

Bish wha.

"NO NO NO!!"

"Y/n!"

I let out a scream as the tongue of the sin starts to lick around my cheek and wrap around me. It begins to lift me up as my feet hover the ground with everyone's rapid screaming and panicking.

I continue to struggle and Billy stands mortified as it's teeth inch closer to my face.

"STOP!!"

On Billy's command, the Sin tosses me to the side as I land in the middle of the carnival room. I grunt, pushing myself up and glancing over at Billy. Now it was his turn to look mad.

Slowly, he walks into the room as every one of us are filled with fear. Sivana snarls down at me.

"BILLY!" Freddy shouts. "There's one more demon guy in his eye! You got to just rip it out of his face hole!"

That's one way to put it. ut he gets interrupted when the fingers of the monster wrap around his mouth to shut him up.

"It's where he gets his power!" Mary finishes.

"The final seventh sin!" I yell, standing to my feet. As Billy walks closer, the other kids struggle as the six sins surround us. I snarl, standing behind Billy.

Tonight has been such a rollercoaster and now Billy could give up his power. I don't want him to do that!

"Stay behind me." Billy whispers lowly.

"Reach for it." Sivana growls. "I dare you.

Billy takes a slow, deep breath in as it still holds our family. Billy, however, does the decision of not doing that and gets on one knee. I go beside Billy and get on one knee as well.

"Wise decision."

"I told you to stay behind me." Billy says seriously.

"I don't listen to the rules if my family is involved." The words come out his mouth and his eyebrows raise with surprise.

"Your family? They were never your family Y/n." Sivana snarls.

"Maybe not. But they treated me better than my own and made me realize what a real family is like. They're the best family I've probably ever lived around and a family I would be ready to rescue. These people are important to me. As they are important to Billy. As they are to each other."

Sivana scoffs. "You have so much to say yet it'll mean nothing because all you do is get in the way."

I go silent and Billy lowers his head slightly, as we both kneel beside each other. My heart is racing miles and miles an hour, fear crawling on my back and chills running down my spine. My knees weak and my arms shaking.

There has to be another way out of this mess. But how!?

"Hands-on the staff Billy."

"Billy, don't do this!" Freddy whimpers. "BILLY!"

"Billy."
"Don't do it, Billy!"
"Don't!"

I watch as Billy slowly raises his hand and grips the staff tightly. Glaring up at Sivana every second that he does.

Sivana glares at me, then the sins. The sins turn to smoke and fade away from holding the kid's hostage, going right back into Sivana.

One Two.

The pressure keeps rising. Sivana has his eyes shut and head held high as the sins fade into him just like that.

Three Four.

I glance over at Billy, and his face softens a bit as it seems he's remembering something. Maybe something the wizard told him? With what's left of my darkness power, I think of what he's remembering. Hearing the words that the Shazam spoke to him.

Five Six.

"Say my name, so my power may flow through you. I open my heart to you, Billy Batson. And in so doing, choose you as champion. With your heart, unlock your greatest power. The thrones of our brothers and sisters await!"

Billy lifts his head up to Sivana. He smirks slightly as Sivana glares down at him. And with one swift movement.

Seven Eight.

Grabs the staff, spins it, turns it sideways and stabs it into his chest like I did, sending him flying across the room. He slams the staff down then turns to us, glancing at each and every one of us.

NINE TEN!!

"All hands on deck."

My eyes widen with wonder. No, is he? Oh my God!

All of them grab the staff, all of them except for me. Freddy and Billy turn to me.

"Y/n, grab the staff!"

"I...no I can't."

"What? Why?" Freddy asks.

"You guys are not superheroes and I already have the darkness power, I won't need it!" I tell them.

Billy grabs my hand and puts it on the staff.

"Billy, I'm serious."

"When I say all hands on deck, I mean all hands on deck. Not 99% of hands."

I roll my eyes trying not to laugh.

"I'm serious though. I don't need this, you guys do-"

"Just because you're a superhero at night doesn't mean you can't be one at day. You can be two in one. It doesn't matter. We want you on our team regardless." Mary whines.

"And if your darkness fails, you can always have sparkle fingers."

"Seriously, Freddy?"

"Yep."

"But...it's-"

"Oh stop whining and put your hands on the staff dingus." Billy nudges me.

I put my hand on the staff anxiously but Freddy gives me a look of pride and nods. Somehow, with his confirmation...makes me a little more willing to do this.

Is this really fair? All hands are on the staff and we look up at Billy for the next task.

"Say my name."

We all look around at each other confused on what name.

His...actual name? Alright then.

"BILLY!!"

"Not, not my name!" Billy exclaims embarrassed.

Oop. Well shit, that's awkward. Insert mental facepalm here.

"Say the name that I say to turn into this guy!!"

We all look at each other with wide eyes. Here. Goes. Nothing.

"SHAZAM!!"

A burst of lightning strikes heavily down on us and everything goes into smoke and power.
