Alena: why not?

Demi: she was in love with another guy. This other guy was funny and hot as hell...but he wasn't as sweet as the other little boy. This little boy, with the time, grew up. And the girl grew up too...after some though moments of her life, she finally realized it

Alena: what did she realize?

Demi: she realized that he was the only person of her life that always believed in her. And loved her like she was. With all her bad and good things

Alena: and she told him?

Demi: she didn't cause she thought he was too handsome to look at someone like her...and she regretted all her life for not saying it in the moment she felt it.

Alena: she never told him?

Demi: she did but, sadly...it was too late. Too late for both of them cause they started walking in different ways and...they never in their lives had the chance to try...to be together.

Alena: oh, this is so sad...I wish she would've told him how she felt

Demi: yea...me too

Alena: was he in love too?

Demi: not in that moment, well...she never knew if he really ever saw her as more than a friend

Alena: wow, must be sad for her

Demi: it was...but here is the lesson...don't you ever leave things unsaid. No matter how important they are. Don't stop yourself from saying anything...mainly if it's about how you feel. Cause that girl, she let go the one and only person that never stopped believing and caring for her...and she'll never have him again

Nick: bullshit (I whispered and no one heard me)

Alena: I'll never forget what you said to me. Thank you aunty Demi (they hugged and Alena laid in bed again)

Demi: sleep well sweetheart (I walked downstairs and started cleaning the table)

I was washing the dishes when she walked in.

Demi: hey, you didn't wait for me. I wanna help you

Nick: it's fine, don't worry (she nodded)

Demi: I should go home if your parents and Dani and Kev are coming back now

Nick: it's not necessary...but you can do whatever you want to (she shrugged)

Demi: Nick...is everything okay? Between us (I looked at her)

Nick: yes, yes...sorry I was just a little lost in my thoughts

Demi: I noticed it...I've been feeling overwhelmed lately

Nick: well, me too

Demi: Alena called me "aunty"

Nick: you told her a story?

Demi: yea...I hope she liked it

Nick: she probably did. I heard the lesson you gave her after the story...well, a part of it when I was walking downstairs

Demi: you did? (She asked nervous)

Nick: yes. I think it was a great and important lesson...and I wanna take your advice now

Demi: my advice?

Nick: yes...I'm gonna say what I have to say

Demi: what are you talking about? (I stopped washing and stared at her as we both rested our bodies on the kitchen counter)

Nick: I'm sorry I didn't tell you how I was feeling before it was too late, you know? Maybe this means nothing to you now and it wasn't important back then but...I should've told you what I was feeling instead of walking away from you (she bit her lip looking at me and I saw her eyes get teary)

Demi: I'm sorry I never told you how I was feeling too...I guess I was too afraid to try...I didn't want to lose you. That's why I never told you

Nick: you would never lose me for saying a thing like that

Demi: I was a coward Nick

Nick: I was too (she nodded)

Demi: but i-it's fine now, we spent two very nice days and

Nick: and tomorrow we'll come back to our lives? And we won't talk again?

Demi: well, I-I don't know...what should we do?

Nick: we should do what we feel like doing

Demi: and what do you feel like doing?

Nick: I'm not completely sure but I don't want to go back to "not talking". I missed you way too much these past months to let you go this easy again...what do you feel like doing?

Demi: I won't walk away if you don't (I half smiled at her)

Nick: okay then

Demi: okay (she whispered and we kept staring at each others eyes until the door opened)

After everyone greeted us, we talked a little about the girls and their grandma and Demi left the house flashing me a last half smile as she turned on the car.
