I smiled while watching her sitting on her chair as I was sitting in front of her.
Nick: Dem..
Demi: mh?
Nick: it's a nice dress (she nodded smiling and I cursed under ny breath)
Joe: what did you say?
Nick: nothing, just...I'm way too dumb
Kevin: oh, but we all know that (they laughed and I nodded smiling)
We sat and started eating while talking about random things like what we'll be doing next year and things like that.
Sophie: probably shooting 2 movies
Danielle: I'll continue with my jewellery
Joe: with my bros, you know...dropping another album maybe
Nick: maybe
Kevin: maybe (we laughed) what about you Demi?
Demi: I don't know for sure. I wanna take some time to finish my next album given that I don't consider the last one as mine and that, I wanna make the music I feel like doing...maybe some acting again (she shrugged)
Sophie: we could act together someday
Demi: I hope (they smiled at each other and a man climbed up in a little stage)
The lights went off and we all looked to it. The guy smiled and started singing a romantic chessy song. All I could think while he sang was Demi. Yes, I was stupid for thinking that but every corny word of the song seemed like it was made for her. I saw her smiling big while watching that guy perform. She was an angel. My angel.
When the man finished singing and we finished eating we looked at the time. It was 23:34 p.m.
Sophie: we still have some minutes before new year. I'm gonna go to the toilet
Danielle: I'll go with you
Demi: me too (they all stood up)
Joe: we'll be outside smoking a cigar
Sophie: okay (they walked to the bathroom and we went to the garden. We were smoking when they looked at me)
Kevin: Nick, you're gonna suffer way too much if you don't kiss Demi before 00:00
Nick: what? Why would I?
Joe: we had a treat Nick. You still have some minutes
Nick: there's no way I can kiss her before it's 00:00
Kevin: you have to (he shrugged)
Nick: I need, at least, all the night
Joe: all the night? Wow, you really are slow at this
Nick: screw you Joe. This is all I can do
Kevin: just tonight?
Nick: yea, just tonight
Joe: you won't kiss her, I already know
Nick: I wouldn't be so sure about it (Kevin shrugged)
Kevin: fine. All night to kiss her...but if you don't kiss her-
Nick: don't worry about it, I don't think I'll be able to not kiss her tonight...did you even saw her? (I smiled foolishly) she looks-
Joe: so beautiful? (I stared at him with jealousy but nodded)
Nick: yea
Joe: don't look at me like that. I'm just being honest, go for it Nick. I'm sure she's waiting for that kiss as much as you are
