Travis grabbed her. “Would you chill?”
She snatched away from him.
“Listen y’all can go. I don’t need this extra stress. I’ll just wait.” I told their annoying asses.
“You don’t need this stress?” Stacy got in my face.
“You don’t think Amb is stressed back there? Alone. In a dark, cold, cell that smells like piss, vomit and shit.” She cried in Trav’s chest again. “Munchkin she’s back there with the shit.” She whimpered.
“I know my little Marshmellow.” He patted her back.
I hit the back of my head softly against the wall, they were annoying the fuck outta me. And I’m already on edge.
Stacy rushed to the counter.
“Trav get her.”
“Excuse me.” She rung the bell on desk.
The officer ignored her, still eating from his Thanksgiving plate.
“Stacy.” Travis lightly grabbed her arm and she snatched it away.
She kept ringing the bell obnoxiously until the officer took it.
“What do you want?” He wiped his mouth.
“I need you to release Amber Riley.”
“She got an Attorney?” He said taking a long sip from a red solo cup, then releasing a loud “Ahhhhhhhhh” sound.
“She is one.”
“That’s not what I asked you?” He moved his food plate to the side, and started on a big chunk of cheese cake that set on a small paper plate.
“No.”
“Then, nobody’s getting released until Saturday.”
“It’s a freaking holiday.” Stacy screamed.
“That’s exactly why no one is getting released. Now if you would excuse me, I’m trying to enjoy my thanksgiving meal.” He continued eating his cheesecake.
Stacy was about to grab his plate, when Travis pulled her by her coat.
“Don’t touch me.” She snatched away from him.
“Stacy you need to sit yo ass down.” I told her angry.
“Hey, don’t talk to my popsicle like that.” Trav held his hand out like he was directing traffic.
“You tell em’ my Tator Tot.” She folded her arms and looked at me.
“Nigga, I will talk to whoever I want to talk to, however I want to talk to them.”
“This is your fault anyway. If you just told somebody what was going on we wouldn’t be in this predicament.”
“Stac shut up talking to me.” I rubbed my forehead.
“For you what?” She got in my face.
I was trying my hardest to dim my lights.
“That’s what I thought.”
I got up and sat on another bench before I slapped her ass.
“You okay sweet pea?” Trav rubbed the top of her head.
“He talked to me disrespectfully, but I’m fine panda bear.” She pecked his lips a couple of times.
My phone rang. It was Cha.
