Astro Boy (OC insert)

Val's POV

I heard that my dad was planning on creating a robot that looks exactly like Toby.

I was so excited that I wanted to be there when my dad was creating it.

And my dad allowed me to be there.

It took a while to create the robot. It even took more than one day.

I haven't slept for those days, but I have eaten every once in a while, except for my dad.

I also heard that Dr. Elefun was coming to the lab and bringing the Blue Core with him.

Dr. Elefun came in and we were transforming the robot to look like Toby.

Once the transformation was over, it actually looked like him.

"It looks just like him, doesn't it? A perfect replica." Dad says to Dr. Elefun. "Plus, I've uploaded all of Toby's memories. It will think it is Toby." Dad finishes.

I was happy that we were going to have Toby back, but I was a little disappointed that it wasn't exactly Toby.

"Don't expect too much, Tenma." Dr. Elefun warns my dad.

"It has the most advanced defense systems ever created. I won't lose him again. Did you bring what I asked?" Dad asks Dr. Elefun.

Dr. Elefun opens his case to reveal the Blue Core.

Dad grabs the Blue Core and was about to put it into Toby until he was stopped by Dr. Elefun.

"The Core is unpredictable. I can't guarantee what effect-" Dr. Elefun was interrupted by my dad.

"It's gonna make it perfect! Perfect! Just like Toby was." My dad says before putting the Blue Core into Toby.

A machine comes over to Toby and picks him up by the wires that were being attached to him.

The Blue Core in Toby glows and electricity is zapping the entire lab.

It keeps doing this for a while until the wires connected to Toby disconnect and Toby falls to the floor.

After a while of silence, Toby starts to move.

He looks at us with his eyes glowing.

His eyes then stop glowing and he says, "Dad? Val?"

I smile at him as my dad says, "Toby."

Toby stands up but has a little trouble walking.

I walk over to his side and use my arms to keep him in balance.

Dad comes over and hugs Toby.

"Welcome back, son." Dad says to Toby. "Thank you, Elefun. I'm going to take it, him, home now. Quality time. Bonding. All the good things." He finishes saying as he picks up Toby and walks out of the lab.

I follow behind them.

"Bye, Dr. Elefun." Toby says to Dr. Elefun.

"Bye, Toby." I hear Dr. Elefun say back to Toby.

We then exit the lab and head home.

Third POV

It was the next morning and Toby was sleeping in his room.

The sunlight fills the room and Toby wakes up.

Toby looks to his side to see his dad, on his knees, at the edge of Toby's bed with his head down.

"Dad?" Toby asks.

Dr. Tenma lifts his head and says, "Good morning, son. How do you feel?"

"Uh, kind of weird. Have I been sick or something?" Toby asks.

"No, you're fine, Toby. You're perfect. You're wonderful." Dr. Tenma says to Toby.

"Oh, that's good, 'cause-" Toby stops when he feels his dad hug him.

Dr. Tenma starts to cry a little, which confuses Toby a little.

"Um, are you okay?" Toby asks confused.

They keep hugging for a while.
