Astro Boy (OC insert)

Val's POV

Me and the others were looking around for Astro.

We then came to a field of grass.

I look to the side to see Trashcan next to Astro, who is laying down.

"Astro!" I yell as I run to him.

Once I reach Astro, I fall to my knees and start crying.

Moments later I feel someone hug me.

I look up to Zane hugging me.

I hug him back as I keep crying.

The citizens of Metro City walk over.

"Who was he?" One citizen asks.

"That robot saved the whole city." Another citizen says.

"Why would he care?" A third citizen asks.

"Because that robot had more humanity than most of us." I hear Dr. Elefun answer as he comes over. "Who are you?" He asks Cora.

"I'm a friend of his from the Surface." Cora asks sadly.

"You're from the Surface?" I hear a citizen ask.

We look over to see the citizens looking at us in surprise.

Zane hugs me tighter in a protective way.

It was silent until Cora asks, "Can you fix him?"

"No, I'm afraid not. His Blue Core was unique. Now it's died with him." Dr. Tenma answers as he opens Astro's chest to reveal that the blue Core was dead.

"It's not fair. All he ever did was help people." Cora says sadly.

"Not just people." We here a voice say.

Everyone looks up to see Zog.

"Astro brought Zog back to life." Cora says.

"How?" Dr. Elefun asks.

"The blue stuff." Zog answers.

"Do you have any of that blue stuff left?" Dr. Elefun asks Zog.

Zog nods in reply.

"Do you think you could spare some for our friend here?" Dr. Elefun asks.

Zog walks over and stands in front of Astro.

Zog puts some of his Blue Core energy into Astro.

My friends and I stand up in surprise.

I was still holding onto Zane as we watch  the Blue Core energy being put into Astro.

When Zog finished Astro slowly opens his eyes.

"Dad? Val? Cora? What happened? Is the Peacekeeper gone?" Astro asks as he looks around.

"Yes." Our dad answers.

Astro looks at Dad and hugs him.

"But... But how am I still..." Astro starts to ask until he sees Zog wave at him.

Astro runs to Zog and hugs.

"Thank you, Zog." Astro says.

"It was no biggie." Zog replies.

I was the first one to run to Astro and hug him.

"Astro!" I yell in happiness.

"Hey, Val." Astro says as he hugs me back.

Soon, our friends come over.

I step back so they can hug him too.

I smile once I see Astro and Cora hug each other.

"Val." I hear someone say next to me.

I look to my side to see Zane looking at me.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"There has been something I have been meaning to tell you." Zane says to me.

I lift an eyebrow in confusion and motion for him to keep going.

"You see, ever since I met you, I um... I kind of... I sort of..." Zane starts to stutter.

"Uh-huh?" I ask. I already knew what he was going to say. I was just waiting for him to say it.

"What I'm trying to say is..." Zane takes a deep breath before kissing me on the lips.

I wasn't expecting him to kiss me. I was shocked.

"...I love you, Val." Zane finishes.

I get out of my shocked state and smile at him.

"I love you, too, Zane. I was just waiting for you to say it." I say to him.

"Wait. You knew that I liked you?" Zane asks confused.

"Yeah. It was pretty obvious." I say with a smile.

He smiles at me and hugs me.

I hug him back as I smile.

After the hug, we both look to the side to see Astro and the others smirking at us.

"See? What did I say?" Astro asks me as  he smirks.

"Yeah, yeah. You were right." I say as I playfully roll my eyes.

We all look over to our side to see Dr. Elefun and our dad walking to us.

"Astro, I think you've finally found your place in the world. You're a hero, a robot with the heart of a lion." Dr. Elefun says to Astro.

"And everyone finally knows it." Dad says after Dr. Elefun.

The citizens cheer as they walk over to us.

We were all celebrating for Astro's victory in saving Metro City.

Me and Zane were holding hands the whole time we were celebrating.

After a while, a giant shadow lands on top of us.

We all look up to see a giant alien looking down at us. It was a sphere-shaped looking alien with tentacles all over its body.

Everyone started to run away ans scream as the alien shot lasers out of it's eyes.

Me and Astro start running towards the alien until we get stopped by our dad.

"Wait. Are you sure you're ready for this, Astro and Val?" Dad asks us.

I nod as Astro says, "I was made ready."

"Good luck, Val!" Zane yells to me.

"Thanks!" I yell back before we fly to the alien.

Me and Astro look at each other and nod. We both hold hands.

Once we reach the alien, we both punch the alien at the same time.
