Astro Boy (OC insert)

Third POV

That morning, all you can hear is Orrin's scream after seeing Toby.

"No. I must be malfunctioning. Wires crossing, short-circuiting. It can't be you. You're..." Orrins says before scanning Toby to see a robot instead of Toby.

"Oh, my gosh! You're... You're..." Orrins stops when he sees Dr. Tenma walk in, giving him signals to stay quiet.

Val walks in after Dr. Tenma and looks at the situation in front of her.

"Hey, Orrin, you okay?" Toby asks confused.

"You're... You're gonna be late for school." Orrin says before turning around.

Orrin stops and looks at Toby while saying, "Well, I must say, it's very nice to see you again." He says before going in a different direction.

"Sit down, Toby. I wanna talk to you. You too, Val." Dr. Tenma says to Toby and Val.

"Sure, Dad." Toby says.

"Okay." Val says after Toby.

"It's about school. I've decided you shouldn't go anymore, kids. I'm gonna teach you at home myself." Dr. Tenma says to them.

"Cool." Val says.

"Sounds good to me." Toby says before looking at Orrin, who was bringing the food over to them.

"Hey, Orrin. Looks like we're gonna be hanging out together." Toby says to Orrin.

"Together? Well, that'll be very nice, Master Toby." Orrin says as he was placing the food down, but he was shaking a little in fear which causes the food to spill.

"Please, Toby, just let the robot do its thing." Dr. Tenma tells Toby.

"Sorry. Hey, if you're going to be home-schooling us, what about the Ministry? Your job?" Toby asks.

"My job now is to be your father." Dr. Tenma says to them.

Val and Toby both smile at their dad.

They finish breakfast and Dr. Tenma was going to have Toby review on his knowledge.

Let's start you out with something familiar. Four-dimensional calculus. It's your favorite." Dr. Tenma says to Toby.

"I guess it is." Toby says a little unsure.

Val comes up to them and says, "I'm a little tired still, so I'm just going to go rest for a little while."

Dr. Tenma and Toby nod.

Val starts walking to her room as Dr. Tenma and Toby continue with the lesson.

Val's POV

I walk into my room and lay down on my bed.

I was still a little tired from staying up for so many days.

I then fall asleep.

I wake up and feel so much better rested.

I get out of bed and walk towards the living room.

Once I walk in, I see a lot of paper airplanes flying around the room.

I then realize that the paper came from my dad's books.

I shake my head while mumbling, "Dad isn't going to like this."

And just as I said that, Dad walks in and sees what was going on.

"Toby." Dad says before getting hit by one of the planes.

All of our eyes widen.

"What are you doing? I said to read these books, not destroy them." Dr. Tenma says to Toby with an upset look on his face.

"I just wanted to test da Vinci's theories." Toby says.

"I um, perhaps encouraged Master Toby, sir." Orrin says nervously.

My dad looks at Orrin while saying, "You should not be wearing that hat. A robot should not be wearing my son's... Toby's hat." He says.

Orrin takes off Toby's hat and gives it to Dad before sadly walking away.

"Dad, it's fine. I don't even like the hat." Toby says to our dad.

"You shouldn't have said that." I say to myself.

"I think you should go to your room." Dad says.

"But Dad I-" Toby was interrupted by our dad.

"Do as you're told!" Dad yells at Toby.

Toby ran to his room with me following behind him to his room.
