Falling in Love with a Irken (Invader Zim X Reader)

Wedding Bells

You start shaking slightly and look down to the bouquet you were now holding. Trying your hardest not to shed any tears you try to concentrate on the beautiful flowers, that is until you feel a weird sensation hit your PAK.

"Um, Larb? Why does the control brain need to have hold of my PAK?" You look to him suspiciously.

Larb Jolts slightly at your question but tries his best to play it cool.

"I-It's just to make sure we are bound together forever. The control brain will recognize us as a real and true couple!" You watch him nervously fidget as he tries to explain himself. You nod and shrug off his behaviour due to the fact that anyone would be this nervous on there own wedding day! You included.

"We are gathered here today to celebrate with Larb and Y/N as they proclaim their passion and commitment to the universe. We are gathered to rejoice, with and for them, in the new life they now undertake together..."

You look up to Larb and start staring into his eyes. They looked almost teary and he had such a satisfied grin on his face. You on the other hand tried to hold it together as you listened to the control brain's speech.

"...If anyone can show just cause why this couple should not be lawfully joined together in matrimony, let them speak now or forever hold their peace..."

Larb looks around as if he was looking for someone, fortunately it seemed like they weren't here. He just smiles and waits for the control brain to continue.

Secretly you were almost hoping for someone to object...Anything to stop this feeling in my stomach. But the silence continued in the room until the control brain speaks up again.

"Great, so now I-"

*Slam*

Everyone's eyes shoots over to the loud slamming of a door being kicked open.

It looked to be a very angry Irken, but honestly you had no idea who this guy was. Was he one of Larb's enemies? Why would he interrupt a wedding? You just stand shocked and watch this Irken march right through the isle. You turn your head to look to Larb for an explanation but he had the same look as you did, but times ten.

He honestly looked petrified. His glowing green cheeks paled into this greyish green and his eyes were wide open. His stance was a defensive one and his mouth was tight, teeth grinding together.

"W-Who is this? Do you know who he is Larb?" You question your almost husband.

"J-Just a worthless Bug, My dear..." Larb almost whispered out. He didn't flinch a muscle. His eyes were fixated on this one Irken.

The angry Irken gets way too close for comfort and next thing you knew he bolted up the alter where you two were.

"Larb...I told you not to mess with MY Y/N!!" His voice was dark and had a very scary tone. You watch Larb flinch at his words and he starts sweating buckets.

"Haha Zim, Glad you could make i-" Larb couldn't even finish his sentence as this guy tackles him and starts attacking Larb with his bare hands.

Zim...This is Zim? Why would have I asked my dad for him? This is all starting to feel even more weird than when you first woke up. Zim was now trying to strangle Larb. But Larb was putting up a good fight.

"My greatness, come to Stal. I need to protect you from them." You feel a tight grip on your shoulders from Stal's firm hands.

You follow Stal to where your father and Purple is.

"Who is this guy?!?! How have we never seen him before?!" Purple says confused and angry.

"Now that I think about it, he does look familiar..?" Red tilts his head confused.

Zim and Larb were fighting like animals. Zim was punching your fiancé in the face while Larb was biting Zim's arms. They both utilized their PAKS and numerous times destroyed decor from the wedding. You just watched in amazement, confusion and slight anger.

"She's Mine Zim! Give up!" Larb grunts out.

"I will never abandon my Y/N! She is Zim's!" You hear Zim spit out.

"No she isn't! Not anymore at least! I will be the one to love her!" Larb yells back.

"Love? What do you know about love? I know everything about my sweet Y/N! You just like her because of the Tallest! Zim fell in love long before he even found out that she was royalty!" Zim continues his hard hits to Larb while shouting out insults and reasons on why he truly loves you.

He loves me? And I belong to Zim? What is he thinking? I just met him about a minute ago when he decided to crash my wedding and beat up my soon-to-be husband?!

"ENOUGH" You hear a very dark and ominous voice fill the room. The control brain released two cords and gripped both Irkens by their PAKS. They both shut up immediately as they were both terrified of what a control brain could do while hooked up to their PAKs.

The brain decides to bring them over in front of the alter and sets them down. Apart of course. Zim and Larb looked to be bleeding and breathing heavily.

"We shall determine this dispute by the most reasonable of ways. Y/N will choose who who she is to marry and her words will be final. Come now bride Y/N. Pick the Irken you desire now." The control brain monotonously spoke out. To be fair it is a rather reasonable way to stop the fighting. Just Y/N had no idea what to do. Of course you didn't want to pick this Zim dude as you don't even know him but you weren't really wanting to marry Larb either... You just stood there for a moment in thought. You close your eyes and inhale deeply. Mmm...What the...? The air almost smelt like french toast. Yum! You inhale even more of the sweet aroma and exhale loudly. Calmness came over you from the familiar aroma.

You open your eyes with pure confidence. Even a small smile was tugging at your lips. You start walking over to the two desperate Irkens. Your eyes got caught with Zim's staring. They screamed despair but still some how managed to capture the 'lovey dovey' gaze every woman wants to feel when looking at their soulmate. Larb on the other hand looked cocky and held a sadistic smile. He knew Zim had zero chance of you picking him.

You continue in your steps until you finally stop in front of the chosen Irken.

"Larb..." There you stood in front of Invader Larb.
