Out From Within the Shadow

How do you clear it of what has grown?

Can you re-learn what has been shown?

How do you move forward with what's meant to be?

Is there a way to make sure love is all you see?

When things over shadow

the love in your heart,

how do you give your heart a fresh start?

Can you change the mistakes you make?

Is there a way to spot a fake?

When and why does love turn you blind?

Can you separate the conflict between heart and mind?

Will there be a time you can start from scratch

so you can you walk away from any mismatch?

Can there be love and not how it must seem

or is love in life an unrealistic dream?

Is the way to love written in any rules

or does it,

plain and simply,

create fools?

Is love merely a point of view?

Is it a ruse for someone to pursue

another

to get into their head?

Is it for someone to,

their thoughts,

imbed?

So back to the question I came here to ask;

is fresh starting your heart an impossible task?

Once you walk through all that caused it to close

is it possible to walk

all that now will oppose?

Can you open to all and set yourself free

from all that denies the way you're meant to be?

Can you really and truly turn your back

on all the past

and walk the forward track?

I ask myself this,

as I see this my way,

each morning I wake,

each start to my day

and as I end at every night

it seems I do,

not may or might.

I'm open to what is in my heart

and with each new dawn

it gets a fresh start,

with all that the world will naturally bring,

I uplift!

I rejoice

and I verbally sing!

So you see I re-learnt.

I put paid to what's been

and I won't let my past

come in-between

what is ahead,

where I'm to go

and prevent my heart

the love it shall know.
