The Maze Runner Fanfic [Newt x Reader]

Minho, Newt, Thomas, Frypan and Teresa are brought to a room with 6 beds and new clothes. Newt is still crying. He lost 2 of his friends and doesn't know if you're alive or ok. Minho sits next to him.

"Newt, listen, she's a fighter. I'm sure she'll be fine."

"How do you know that? She's alone and defenseless. That monster can beat her to death or worse..."

"They will pay for whatever they did to her. But now we have to change and take a shower. It's the only thing that we can do."

After they all showered, they sit in their beds. The stress and adrenaline got them tired. The door opens and the man enters, holding you by your arm. You're full of bruises and blood. He pushes you in the room.

"This is what happens when you kill one of us. Keep that in mind." and he leaves.

You fall, but Newt catches you.

"Are you ok?"

"Do I look ok?"

"Sarcasm on point, she seems fine to me." Minho says. "Now I'm serious, do you have any serious injuries?"

"No, he tried to chop my finger off, but a guard stopped him. I don't know what I did to him. He said I killed his daughter, but that's not what happened. They were electrocuting me, his daughter entered the room. She was the only one without a special suit, so the Flare attacked her. He blames me, but I was 10 and tortured. Even if it was my fault, he deserved it."

"We have to get out of here, they are going to kill you." Frypan speaks for the first time since you got in the maze.

"I think I have an idea, but it'll take a while. I have to explore the building first."

"How? We are locked in here."

"Through the vents, of course. I need a small knife to open it."

"We can get that from dinner." Teresa gives you some clothes. "We will wait for you there."

After you change and wash yourself, you go to the dinner table. The only seat left is next to Newt, so you sit there. Minho tries to keep a laugh in, but you are done with his bullshit.

"I told you to shut up."

You eat fast and put a knife in your pocket. Then, you go to your room and unscrew the vent. Luckily, it's big enough for you to fit in. You walk for a while, when you see a door. It has guards on both sides, so it must be something important. You see that it can only be open with a level 3 key card. You know someone who has one, so you go back to your dorm. You put the vent back and go to the eating tables.

"I need one of you to make a scene." you look to Thomas and Teresa. "Go to that guy and take his card."

"Why us?" 

"You are their favourites. If I would try that, they would beat the shit out of me, but they won't hurt you."

Thomas gets up and goes to the guard. "I need to go out. Right now!" he doesn't move. "Hey, do you hear me? Guys, I think he's deaf. Hellooo. Ok, buddy, that was fun, but I  really need to get out." he tries to push the guard, but he doesn't move. Instead, he hits Thomas with his gun. In his fall, he catches the guard's key card and hides it in his pants. The boys go to help him, to make it seem more real.

"Got it?" you ask Thomas when he comes to you.

"Yup." he says while giving you the card.

After dinner, everyone gets in their rooms. You hear the door lock. It's now or never.

"This is what we are going to do. I go first through the vent because I know where to go. When we get out, we move as fast as we can. There are cameras everywhere, so they will find us in less than 2 minutes. Me and Minho will knock down the guards, Teresa will open the door, Newt, Frypan and Thomas will get us a car. Everything clear?"

"Who drives the car?" Newt asks.

"How hard could it be? Fry will."

"Why me?"

"Minho would kill us all, I can't drive, I don't trust Thomas and Newt, Teresa will be too nervous and they'll catch us."

"Oh and I can drive perfectly."

"Do you want to stay here? We can leave you, if you want. You'll figure it out. Now we have to hurry."

You go through the vent. When you get out, you run to the door. As you expected, 2 guards were at the door. They point their weapons at you, but you kick them, before they load. Minho already finished his guard, so he comes to help you. You get their guns, a weapon is very useful in a W.i.C.K.E.D. lab. Teresa opens the door and you run to a car. Luckily, you all fit in one. 

You did it. You finally escaped from the people who tortured you your whole life.
