The Maze Runner Fanfic [Newt x Reader]

You get in the Berg and fly back to the W.i.C.K.E.D. You took the guards' uniforms, so you'd blend in easier. You only have 3, so Frypan remains in the plane. Someone has to stay there to turn it on fast though. You arrive at the lab. A man comes and asks Newt about the mission. He accidentally took the captain's uniform.

"We didn't find them, sir. We think they are in the ruined city, hiding. Sir." he actually did it pretty well. You didn't expect that.

"You couldn't find FOUR KIDS in a desert? How incompetent are you?"

"We did everything we could, sir."

"Whatever, get out of my eyes. I don't want to see you." he turns to you. "Find a fitable suit. This one is too big. How could I hire these junkheads?" finally, he leaves.

"That was close."

"Yea, but where do we find the gladers? Does anyone remember the way back without going through the vents?" Minho asks.

"I do. Follow me, I used to live here."

You find the gladers in a common room. There are only 20 left. 

"Where are the others?"

"They took them and never came back. Thank God you came here, I think they will kill us all."

"We have to be very fast. Don't take anything with you, it would be useless."

You go back to the Berg, but you feel like something's wrong. You see Frypan tied with a gun at his head. The Ratman has him.

"What do you want?" you try to be as respectful as you can so he won't shoot your friend.

"You, of course. We can let these boys go, but you have to come with me."

"What do you need me for? You hate me."

"You have a quite unique power. We want to explore it, turn it into a weapon, maybe."

"Fine. But you let all of them go with an untraceable Berg."

Everyone was looking at you in shock, especially Newt and Minho. They don't want to let you with these maniacs, but they don't say anything, so the Ratman doesn't shoot Frypan. You go with him and the gladers leave. You don't know if you'll ever see them again and you didn't get to kiss Newt or hug Minho. A hot tear slides down your face, but you wipe it before anyone sees it.

Newt, Minho and Frypan manage to get everyone in the Berg. While flying, Minho sees Newt trying to hide the fact that he's crying.

"Dude, are you crying?"

"What? No."

"It's ok, I'm crying too. But now we have to think what we'll do with these shanks."

"We take them to the Right Arm and come back to save (y/n). But only us and whoever wants to come."

The Ratman takes you to a white room where's just a bed.

"What are you going to do with me?"

"It won't really matter if I tell you, so I will just to see the terror on your face." his words make your heart beat very fast. You know what this man is capable of. "We will tie you on this bed and connect some wires to your head. We discovered that electricity takes better effect if it comes through your brain first, since that's where the Flare makes damage. We will increase the power more and more to see how much you can take, even if it's going to hurt. When you were 12, the max number you could achieve was 50,000 W, which is inhumane. That's why we need to keep you in a lab to see what exactly you are, even if I know perfectly - an abomination. You can't be considered a human. You survive thousands of watts, you can infect whoever you want, no matter if they are immune or not and you can activate the Flare. I hope you understand our reasons."
