Emma hadn't planning on getting up before the sun had appeared on the horizon, but she just couldn't keep still after all the events from yesterday. All the planning and preparations, the arrival of the new students and showing them around. Her brain kept going over everything that had happened on repeat, mostly trying to figure out if she had made any mayor mistakes that would end up in some kind of disaster. Every time she thought she had gone over everything and could go back to resting her eyes, her brain jolted another memory to analyse, did she show them everything they needed? Had she talked loud enough? Had she been kind enough? Too kind? What about the limousine? Did she lock the limousine?
Within seconds she shot up, I didn't lock the car! Quickly she shoved her feet into the slippers beside her bed, only to realize she hadn't even been the one driven in the limousine yesterday, Richard had picked them up. With a relieved sigh she let herself fall back into bed. Realizing sleep was not going to come to her again any time soon she decided to just get up.
Emma's day went by in a combination of pretending to pay attention and cups of coffee. Lots and lots of coffee. Caffeine may not have been the smartest move seeing she already was jittery without, but what's life without a good cup of coffee, right?
All day long had been one hornets' nest after the other, starting with the head of security telling her about a possible break in at the Museum last night, to the two classes that had been scheduled during what was supposed to be her lunch break but had turned into an hour of switching between the many etiquette's of the Kingdom of Agrabah, the correct protocol to deal with an outbreak of Dragonpox and discreetly shoving blueberries down her throat without choking or seeming uninterested.
But then. Finally. Finally! The Gods had looked down upon her and gifted Emma one whole free period! Yeah, that's right, she had nothing she had to get done or learn for an entire hour. Of course the smart thing to do was to use that time to open a book on the History of Auradon or actually work on her Math homework.... then again, Emma had never said that she was smart.
So instead Emma was making her way to the Tourney field where Aggie was co-coaching the new recruits. Every one who wanted to join the team had to go through a few practice games before they could get their own name on one of those shirts. Aggie, being a girl and all, was technically not aloud to join the team seeing Tourney has always only been for the guys. But after showcasing her more than capability she has proven to be a great asset to the team in the form of Junior Couch.
The school grounds were verily busy with students making their ways from one class to another, talking to their friends, eating lunch or actually making something of their free time with open textbooks and pencils in hands. Emma payed little to no attention to them walking past, until her eyes fell on one of the open lockers. Normally they wouldn't stand out to the young princess at all, just rows of Auradon blue propped against the wall, only this one started to look a little bit different. It had been decorated with Maleficent's silhouette surrounded by green flames and purple smoke, the text LONG LIVE EVIL ! written through the fairy's outlining. Even though Emma couldn't see her face behind the opened locker door, it was clearly Mal, wearing a different variant of the same color scheme she wore the day before. Feeling confident, Emma leaned against the lockers beside hers. Mal hadn't noticed her until she closed the door, the look of surprise on her face making a little smirk form on Emma's lips.
"Hey!" Immediately Emma wondered if she had been too enthusiastic, but Mal did not seem bothered by the girl's presence yet, actually returning Emma's smile with a slightly amused one.
     "Hey."
     "How was your first day?"
The girl clicked her tongue, "super." There was some sarcasm in there, which Emma figured could be expected from someone from the Isle.
Emma's eyes went back to the painting on Mal's locker, now closed  the Princess noticed the flames and smoke also reached the lockers on either side of them. Even though it was against the school's rules, it actually looked pretty cool. "You should really think about taking this talent off the locker and into art class." Mal didn't say anything, just looked at Emma with a small smirk on her face. "I could, sign you up." Emma still got no responds, she just kept looking at her, making a slightly uncomfortable feeling creep up Emma's neck. "What do you think?"
While Emma talked, Jane, the daughter of Fairy Godmother, passed them by, letting out what sounded like a frightened squeal as she quickened her pace to get passed Mal. Who on her turn followed the blue wearing girl with her gaze. Once Jane had left their line of sight, going back into the school building, Mal turned herself back to Emma. "Way to take all the fun out of it."
Emma couldn't help the small chuckle that left her lips as her words sunk in.
With that, Mal send Emma one last smile before turning around and walking away. Emma's eyes followed her movement as she walked the same way Jane had gone. That girl really is... something else.

Do to her little run in with the Fairy's daughter Emma arrived a little later at practice than she had intended. Everything was already in full motion, guys in blue and yellow vests ran around the field wearing their fenced helmets and carrying their curved sticks and painted shields. Emma never fully understood the game, even after the many, many times Aggie tried to explain it to her.
The cheerleaders lead by Audrey were also training beside the field, asking energy from their body in a whole other way than the Tourney players, but absolutely not any less demanding. Emma used to be part of the team, but stopped pretty soon, seeing her royal affairs had become just as insistent.
"Well, well, well. Look what the Chesire cat dragged in." Aggie barely had to raise her voice for Emma to hear over the hassle of the players, already in coaching-mode her voice was naturally loud.
Emma smiled sheepishly at her as she joined her side, Aggie was wearing a yellow shirt over her normal sporting gear that resembled the one of the coach, a whistle hanging around her neck. "I know, I know. I'm late. But honestly with how today's been going I'm surprised I even managed to make it."
"Yeah, how so?" As she spoke, her eyes were on the game.
"Well, starting off I had barely gotten any sleep, so great beginning. And before I even reached my first class of today I got a phone call from Ronald, you know the Chief of Security, turned out the alarm had gone off in the Museum-"
"-Chad! Eyes on the ball and keep that footing!"
Emma cringed as her friend shouted right beside her ear to the field that lay behind them. "Anyway-"
"You too, Aziz!" Emma glanced behind herself to see the son of Aladdin and Jasmine stumble but catch himself before he could fall flat on his face, startled by Aggie's loud voice.
"Maybe I should come back later," Emma mused, always enjoying to see her friend in her element.
"What? No," she answered without looking away from the game. "I'm listening."
"Ow yeah? Than what did I say?"
"Maybe I should come back later."
Emma raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms over my chest. "And before that?"
Before she even got the chance to think of something to say a sound that Emma could not describe differently than a battle cry drew her attention to the field as well.
One of the players in blue smashed into one of the yellow-shirts with his shoulder, sending him to the ground just like two of his teammates that had already been knocked down and left in the dust. "Is that... Jay?" Emma questioned, not being able to place the long brown hair that fell out of the helmet with any other person.
"Aye." Aggie responded, a big grin on her face as her pale blue eyes followed his movement. He had reached the Kill Zone. The part in the middle of the field between the two goals that had been painted mostly red where the players got shot at with Frisbee-like projectiles. He managed to dodge every single one of them with cartwheels, back-flips and a somersault without loosing the ball even ones.
"Bit of a show off." The dark haired Princess mumbled, but even so she couldn't say she wasn't a little impressed.
Jay tackled another player from the opposite team the moment he left the Kill Zone, not stopping for the guy that tried to stand his ground by throwing his stick at him before dropping to the ground, hiding under his shield in an attempt to avoid Jay's assault. It failed drastically as the brunet used his shield as a jumping board. Even though the yellow shirted boy had cowered away, he had managed to make Jay loose the ball. One of his teammates made a run for it, but before he could scoop it up with his stick, Jay rammed into him too, sending his own teammate to the ground. He took the ball and smashed it into the goal. If that hadn't been enough already, Jay charged at the Keeper with yet another battle cry, chasing him out of the goal.
"And they said I play aggressive." Aggie commented, she sounded a little offended and clearly could not stand the victory dance the guy was doing, but Emma could tell she wanted him on the team. And by the way she and Coach Jenkins exchanged a look Emma knew he did too.
Coach Jenkins blew his whistle, attracting everyone's attention. "You!" He shouted while pointing at Jay. "Get over here!"
There was a slightly worried look on Jay's face as he made his way to the Coach, Aggie and Emma, the cheerleaders who also had been watching cheering him on, doing cartwheels of their own. All but Audrey, who just stood there, annoyed, with her hands on her sides.
The rest of the players followed Jay to the coach, no doubt also wanting to hear what he had to say. Only now did Emma recognize the poor guy who Jay had used as a jumping board had been Carlos, who got helped back to his feet by Aziz.
"What do you call that?" Jenkins asked, pointing at the field behind Jay, his voice still slightly raised which Emma was starting to think had become the man's default setting after years and years of yelling at teenage boys.
Jay glanced back, clearly not knowing what to say, turned out it had been a rhetorical question anyway as the Coach barked a short laugh. "I call that raw talent. Come find me later. I'll show you something you haven't seen before. It's called a rule book." Jenkins laughed at his own joke, clapping Jay on his shoulder. "Welcome to the team, son." When his eyes landed on Carlos, standing half behind Jay, he became serious again. "You ever thought about band?"
At that, Jay busted out laughing, while Carlos let out a more cynical chuckle, not finding any kind of amusement in Jenkins' words whatsoever. It seemed that Aggie took some pity in the guy, moving to stand beside him. "I'll work with the Lad, Coach."
Jenkins eyed Carlos one more time before putting fate in Aggie's training style. "All right." Aggie shot Carlos a grin on which he responded with a somewhat shy smile of his own.
"Let's run that again." The Coach announced, putting everyone back in motion. While the guys made their way to the field Chad did not seem very pleased with the new development, blocking Jay's way with his version of an intimidating look. Jay, not seeming impressed, shoved him aside with his shoulder as he walked passed.
"So," Emma started, turning back to her friend. "Taking a liking to Carlos, are we?"
"The wee lamb deserves some slack," she answered, her eyes following the fluff of white hair. "Besides, gotta have some spine in him, comin' from the Isle and all." Emma hummed in response, knowing Aggie would not offer to train someone that easily.
"Anyway," the red-headed girl changed the subject. "What were yu sayin' before?"
"Hm? -Oh! Yeah, the alarm at the museum went off last night."
At last, this did peak Aggies' interest. "Did someone break in?"
"No..." Emma shook my head. "Just some kind of malfunction in the LM 71- something circuit. Luckily." the Princess chuckled joylessly. "Just imagine if it had been the four from the Isle."
"That would have been such a mess." Aggie said as she picked up a clipboard from a bench, writing a little check behind Jay's name.
Emma's gaze fell on the two girls on the other side of the field, one with deep blue hair and her vibrant purple haired friend. A slightly unsettling feeling stirred her stomach as her emerald green eyes met Emma's. "I know, right?"

A/N: What is this? I am not dead?
It's been an while since I've been active, my apologies for that but I will try to update more frequently from now on XD (if I actually find the time to write)

Aaaaanyway, I have way too many ideas for this fic, so don't be surprised if somewhere halfway through the second movie the plot changes drastically.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day/afternoon/night/whatever XD
