"In Moldovan... From Moldova. And it's mostly redacted", Diego said handing the file to Allison. "Great. So we can't read it or see it", Allison said.
"From what I can tell, this document is from our original timeline. It explains how Ben died. It refers to it as the "Jennifer incident", Five said.
"We already know how Ben died", Luther said. "Really Luther? You think you know?", Y/n asked as he nodded.
"Of course I know, Y/n. He was our brother", Luther said. "Okay, then... Tell us", Five said putting his hands in his pocket.
"Well, it was a tragic accident. Ben, our Ben, died because we failed as a team. Nobody was responsible, and...", Luther ended up stopping himself not knowing anything further making Five raise his eyebrow.
"And what?", Five asked as Luther was completely clueless. "Allison, how did Ben die?", Five asked Allison.
"It was a tragic accident", Allison said.
"I have heard the term "tragic accident" from all of you about a hundred times now. Five said that as well because that's what you all told him... All you three know is that it was a "tragic accident". Anything else you can add onto it? We are really open to inputs here", Y/n said.
"Ben died because we-", Allison started. "-Failed as a team", Allison and Luther said in unison and after that Diego joined them as well.
"Nobody was responsible, yet we were all responsible. Ben Hargreeves represented the best of us. Ben was the Umbrella Academy", the trio finished the sentences as the looked at each other shocked.
"What kind of sick party trick is this?", Lila asked Reginald.
"See... It is like you have been wired or trained to say all of that... Like automated robots or something. Why do you know just this and why in the same sentences in complete syncronization?", Y/n asked crossing her arms over her chest.
"Answer her, guys. She is right...", Five said earning blank faces from his siblings. "Okay, can any one of you remember how Ben actually died?", Five asked looking at the siblings and then Diego.
"Anything?", Diego asked. "I... I wasn't there", Viktor said.
"Well, neither was I... Nor was Y/n... but the rest of you were. You think you'd remember something about the death of your beloved brother... but you don't", Five explained as Y/n nodded.
"Someone did something to your brain... There is no other explanation, guys... It's like a data system has been wiped clean", Y/n said as Five nodded his head immediately agreeing.
"Y/n... What are you saying? What the hell is going on here?", Luther asked frustrated.
"Isn't it obvious? Y/n is right. Someone's been playing putty with your hippocampus", Five said looking at Reginald. "Messing with our memories", Diego added his gaze following Five's.
"As fascinating as this may be I assure you I haven't the foggiest notion of what this is about", Reginald replying seeing all eyes on him.
"You know something, old man" Diego said walking towards Reginald.
"You are speculating about the actions of a completely different version of myself from a completely different timeline. That said... it does sound like something I might do", Reginald said.
"Of course you would... You do end up doing the weirdest things ever. I suspect you had lost your mind... especially in the original timeline... My suspects may have been accurately correct", Y/n mumbled.
"That would be an understatement", Five said. "Oh, here we go", Allison said flipping the file on the table.
"There may or may not have been a certain clandestine project with a certain clandestine intelligence agency", Reginald explained making Y/n raise a brow.
"Are you serious?", Y/n asked as he nodded. "Just when I think I understand something about you... You make things even sicker", Y/n said.
"What are you talking about?", Viktor asked.
"Human experiments on the mind... I should have known", Five realized as well. "Psychological warfare was all the rage in the '60s, but it was only a brief contract... Immensely lucrative", Reginald explained.
"So you can erase memories?", Luther asked. "With the human mind, anything is possible, young man", Reginald replied. "If you can erase them, you can restore them?", Lila asked.
"With the proper technology", he replied. "Which you have?", Lila asked. "Naturally... It's in this building somewhere", Reginald said smugly.
"Well then start it up... That machine of yours... Power it up", Y/n said. "I won't comply just like that, young lady", Reginald said.
"All right, old man, enough with all the crap... You're gonna put 'em back... each and every memory to do with Ben's death. Because if you erased the Jennifer incident, that means there was something important enough that you'd take the time to get rid of it", Five said.
"Exactly... What was so bad that you had to conduct experiments on little children's brains, literally. Five is right. You need to put them back. And put them back right now, this instant without any further waste of time", Y/n said.
"I will do no such thing! We need to track down the girl before it's too late", Reginald said.
"Reggie, please", Abigail spoke up as she held her hand out onto which her husband grabbed onto immediately.
"Darling, this is messy work. It could take hours, days", he said.
"Whatever chain of events has been set in motion is ultimately your handiwork... Whatever timeline it happened in... help them... Please", Abigail asserted as Reginald nodded making Y/n look at them slightly confused.
"What is going on here?", Y/n whispered as Allison looked at her. "Guess we know who wears the monocle in this relationship", Allison said.
"Yeah well... He must be like Diego", Five mumbled.
"You are one to speak... The only time I have seen you scared was when you were being a witty little shit to your pregnant wife", Lila said making Five roll his eyes.
"We should get going".

Now in the dark blue neon basement of this Hargreeves' residence, the "family" was surrounded by nothing but weird equipment.
"Just lean back and relax, Luther", Reginald said in a rather soft tone as Luther, Diego and Allison took their seats on the inclining chairs.
"Yeah, right", Luther said as Reginald placed a weird equipment surrounding his head. "Do we all have to do this? Can't you just do it to one of us?", Allison said nervously.
"Fragments of your original memories are still locked away in your minds. They are all integral pieces of a bigger puzzle", Reginald explained.
"Uh... I wanna be connected too", Viktor spoke up. "But you weren't on the mission", Luther said.
"I wasn't on the team then, but I am now, and I wanna know the truth as much as you do", Viktor explained. "Excellent. Please take a seat", Reginald said.
"How about you?", Reginald asked Lila and Y/n. "Yeah, I think I'm going to spectate", Lila said. "Ditto. No offense, but I'm not letting you near my gray matter", Five said as Reginald looked at Y/n.
"Oh me?... Not at all. I am worse in controlling my newly found powers, I could cause a problem. Besides, I wasn't even there so there is no point... I will be here", Y/n explained.
"Very well", he said. "Perhaps you could help", he told Lila pointing at Diego. Lila nodded walking towards him as Abigail walked closer to Y/n.
"How are you doing, dear?", she asked softly in a very sweet voice.
"I am... doing rather well. Considering we have a new kind of problem to deal with every now and then", Y/n said.
"I can understand... How long have you been married?", she asked. "Officially... It has been years", Five said. "Going strong... Any kids?", she asked.
"Two", Y/n replied. "Amazing! What are they called?", she asked. "Older one is Alex... Younger one is Eva", Y/n said.
"Beautiful names... I bet they are just as adorable", she smiled. "They really are", Five mumbled.
"I am sorry... I don't mean to sound rude but... Do we know each other from before?", Y/n asked making her chuckle a bit.
"I believe my hospitality has startled you", she said.
"Oh no... Not at all. Its actually very nice to meet you... contrary to my expectations... No offense to you obviously... It's just your husband has had his fair share of making us skeptical at each and every turn", Y/n added instantly as Abigail gave her a smile.
"I understand, dear. No offense taken", she said as she walked closer to her husband.
"Are you alright?", Y/n' heard Five's voice as she felt his hand on her shoulder. "I am", she mumbled.
"You... Are you cold? You are hugging yourself very tight", he said. "I guess I am... More than usual which is weird but I am", Y/n mumbled.
"Must be the basement", he mumbled. "What do you think will happen now, Five?", Y/n asked.
"I don't know, honey... I just hope the old man doesn't fry their brains into a short circuit or something", Five sighed. "Hey! Happy thoughts", she mumbled.
"Yeah... A bit difficult here", he said. "I get it", she mumbled as she heard Diego groaning while Lila had inserting an equipment in his mouth not letting him speak as she walked closer the couple.
"He seems very disturbed. What did you tell him, Lila?", Y/n asked.
"What I thought... I told him that we need a break from each other... Time to reassess our marriage", she replied as Y/n raised a brow.
"Well Lila... Allow me to appreciate your flawless timing... It couldn't get any much worse than this, Y/n said.
"It is what it is", Lila shrugged as they heard the machines power up. "What?... Wait! Is this gonna hurt?", Luther asked Reginald.
"Indubitably", Reginald replied as he turned the settings on the machine making the blue lights turn red making the four of them on chairs groan a bit.
"Are they going to be okay?", Y/n asked. "They will be perfectly fine", Abigail replied as Y/n took a step back.
Five instantly noticed her slightly shaking her head trying to get rid of a feeling. "Darling... What's wrong honey?", he asked.
"Five", Y/n mumbled. "Yes?", he asked.
"My eyes... My eyes are burning".
