Hermione pulled me with her down the steps quickly to find Harry, Ron followed close behind but far enough away to seem as though he didn't care. I held onto her tightly as she maneuvered her way through the crowd. She pulled me towards the Gryffindor common room.
"Herms I can't go in there."
"Nonsense you will and it will be fine, you need to congratulate him!" She grinned giving the password to the Fat Lady, the picture swung open and I was pulled into the maroon and gold covered room, students cheered excitedly while waiting for Harry to appear, it wasn't long after that he came in on the shoulders of George and Fred everyone screaming with excitement. I cheered and clapped as he held the egg up.
"Do you want me to open it?!" He yelled, the whole room screaming yes in unison. He grinned and did so only for a blood curdling screech to escape myself and everyone quickly covering their ears in an attempt to drown the sound, Harry quickly closed it and apologized as the twins set him down. Ron glaring from a few feet away. I waved to catch his attention before motioning for him to go and talk to Harry, I saw his chest puff out quickly and he trudged over sulking on the way.
"Looks like were getting some type of progress on the two." Giggled Hermione, I nodded and looked over her head to see Fred leaning against the wall him and George watching the exchange most likely making bets on who would win if a fight broke out.
"I'll be right back Herms." I said walking past her and towards the twins, I stopped in front of Fred and looked up at him. Georges focus now turning to us. Fred cleared his throat and stared at George until he got the hint to walk away.
"I wanted to say thank you." I mumbled quietly shifting on my feet.
"Oh what was that? I couldn't hear you. Can you repeat that?"
"I said thank you."
"Ah a thank you? What for?" He chuckled giving a cheeky grin.
"Making me stay and support Harry, you were right I would have hated myself if I didn't stay."
"I was what?" He asked milking the attention and praise.
"Fred." I glared causing a huge grin to cross his face and he crossed his arms over his chest.
"You're welcome Indie. My arms are available to hold you anytime you'd like." He winked as a hand touched my shoulder turning me around, it was Harry.
"YOU DID IT!" I grinned and hugged him quickly. His arm wrapped around my waist hugging me back.
"Couldn't have done it without the support of my favorite person." He chuckled. "Thanks for coming to congratulate me. I know getting out of here will be tricky."
"I will be okay I was actually heading back out after I saw you, the more students in the hall the easier to sneak away."
He nodded and gave me one more hug before turning to find Ron and Hermione.
"Goodbye Fred Weasley." I smiled and turned on my heels walking back towards the door exiting into the hallway which was filled with students, heading down the stairs a smile on my face as I thought about what Fred said last and I replayed just that in my mind as I leisurely walked myself back to my common room.
"Evans." I heard a shout from the hallway behind me, I turned to see a pissed off Draco Malfoy approaching me.
"Malfoy." I questioned annoyance shown through the expression on my face, as he got closer I noticed the cut above his eye was healed and only a faint scar was left. "Hmm I was hopeful it would leave more of a scar." I huffed.
"Watch it Evans, cross me and my father will hear about it. You Mudbloods think you are invincible when in reality you are nothing." He spat his body closer to mine with every word.
