Heart Strings from the Medium (karkat x reader)

Since quite a few of you requested it

        John let go of the swing. You let out a small gasp, closing your eyes, expecting to hear the sound of a body hitting the ground. However you did not. You slightly opened your eyes, seeing John hovering in the air.

        "I guess I just..... Let it go. Let it go" He began to sing let it go. Once agian, he was not that great a singing. 

        "No. John. Please, just. John. No." Jade stared at him, sitting on the swing. John finally shut up and came back down to the ground. You sort of just watched in shock. 

        "Is something going on here that I do not know about?" you finally asked, getting out of your trans. John rubbed the back of his head, letting out a nervous laught.

        "Yeah, well, you see. How do I phrase this" he began, just as Jade cut him off

        "We're gods." She said, swinging on the swing. You just sort of took the information in. You were for some reason, not surprised by this. Considering that your boyfriend was a 'troll'.

        "I'm the heir of breath, and Jade is the witch of space," John said, floating up into the air. 

        "And I guess I'm just the same boring me," You siged and sat on the swings.  John pushed you with a gust of air. 

        "Boring?! You are an awesome friend and an even better relative! Now turn that frown, upside down," Jade hugged, swinging next to you as john pushed the two of you higher.

        "Hey, I think I see someone," Jade said, stopping her swing and grabbing John. You were about to turn around to ask her who, when you saw Karkat, walking down the path, arguing with a strange girl. Karkat looked extremely anoyed.

        "Terezi. I said fuck off," he groaned, giving her a stare. She smirked and fixed her red glasses. She had horns, similar to Karkat's but longer. She must be a troll too.

        "Common Karkat. What can be so important?" She smiled, waving her stick around in the air. It had a dragon head on the top. 

        "Look. I know I used to like you. But that's all over now. Besides, I have someone else now," he trailed off. You sat there on the swings, watching him. He used to like her? you thought, swinging slowly.

        "Really? I don't believe you one bit," she stepped in front of him, blocking his path.

        "Terezi. How many motherfucking times do I have to tell you. Its over. That's fucking it. I-" he stopped, catching a glimpse of you out of the corner of his eye. He smirked and moved Terezi aside, making his way towards you. Your heart began to beat faster with every step he took. Trying to look normal, you waved at him, smiling.

        He put his arm around you, pulling you closer. "(y/n) is my girlfriend. Not you," your face turned bright pink as he said that. You looked up at him, seeing his cheeks turn a pale pink also. Terezi frowned, looking at you. 

        "I guess you weren't lying after all Vantas," she looked away, turning around to leave. Karkat looked at her, and held you closer, making your face turn even redder and your heart beat faster. "See you around then," she smiled and walked off. Karkat let out a sigh.

        "Sorry for putting you on the spot there..." he looked down at the ground, his sweater collar covering his mouth. You smiled, kissing him on the cheek and causing him to flush bright red. 

        "Its alright," you let out a small laugh. Just then, John and Jade returned, holding a cup of starbucks coffee each.

        "I was just showing Jade around the city and woah. Are we interupting something here?" He said as Jade elbowed him, getting his attention. She wiggled her eyebrows and John gave her a sign of understanding, letting out a muffled giggle. "Hi Karkat," he said, recieving another elbow from Jade.

        "Egbert?" Karkat turned around to face him, surprised to see im here. "What the fuck are you doing here? Don't you live somewhere... not here?" 

        "How do you know where I live? Actually, nevermind. I know you all have your ways. Oh, and I'm here with Jade, we're staying over at our cousin's, (y/n)'s house," he smiled, looking over at you. It has completely slipped your mind to tell him about the two. But it seemed that he already knew them.
