Heart Strings from the Medium (karkat x reader)

So here is a chapter

        "I see you have already met my two cousins," you smiled. looking up at Karkat. He was significantly taller then you, so you often had to look up to see his face. He nodded. Jade scowled at John, receiving a confused look. 

        "I guess we will leave the two of you here then," She grabbed John by the hood and pulled him along. He seemed extremely puzzled but waved at the two of you. "Bye Karkat, Bye (y/n)" he managed to say before he was tugged away by Jade. It was now just you and Karkat. Alone on the playground ment for little children. There was a moment of awkward silence before you felt his grip tighten on you once again. You turned around to see Karkat scowl at Gamzee, who was pushing along a troll in a wheelchair. 

        "Hey Karkat," the troll who was in a wheelchair waved at him. "Oh and you must be his friend." he turned to you. "I'm Tavros." he smiled warmly, stretching out his hand to shake yours. You smiled back, shaking his hand.

        "(y/n)" you answered politely. He turned his head back to Karkat. 

        "Hey motherfucker," Gamzee smiled at Karkat, leaning over Tavros's wheelchair. "We were just out on a stroll you know. Didn't expect to bump into you here."

     "Me niether," Karkat rolled his eyes. Gamzee shrugged in response and pushed Tavros's wheelchair towards the swings. He then lifted him up with one swift movement and placed him on one of the swings. It was so cute to watch. A smile played on your face as Karkat grabbed your hand and led you to the free swing, motioning for you to sit down. You nodded and took a seat.

        "So, um, hey. I'm Tavros, as you already know. Nice to meet you by the way," he smiled at you as Karkat began to push you back and forth. Gamzee pushed Tavros.

        "Nice to meet you too. Say, you must be good friends with Gamzee. You two are like brothers," You returned the smile. Tavros nodded as the wind blew in his face, causing him to squint.

        "We are bros for life," 

        The rest of the conversation was about personal things. He told you about how he got into his wheelchair. It was something along the lines of him falling off a clif and getting paralyzed from waist down. He was lucky to have survived the fall. You told him about your life and your mother. It was a pleasant conversation in the end. after you prepared to head home, Gamzee invited the two of you, you being Karkat and yourself, to a party tomorrow. You felt bad for leaving the twins out but he said it was ok for them to come too. 

        "The more the merrier," Gamzee smiled, scribbling the address on your hand.

        "We'll be there," You said with a smile. Karkat let out a quiet groan, causing you to elbow him in the chest. he rolled his eyes and promised to come too. Gamzee waved a goodbye and pushed along Tavros's wheelchair.

        "Thanks for walking me home" you said, opening the door to your house. You turned around but Karkart was still there. "You can go home now," he didn't move. "Am I forgetting something?" He crossed his arms and waited patiently. You rolled your eyes and smiled, kissing him softly on the cheek. He smirked and grabbed your hand, pulling you closer and kissing you on the lips. You were not expecting that. Finally breaking free of the kiss, you smiled back at him.

        "I'll be here at 5 to pick you up," he smiled, waving a goodbye and making his way towards his house. You waved back and shut the door, turning towards the living room.

        "Holy shit fucking a tortoise. What the fuck happened here?" You looked around, seeing open pillows and toys thrown all over the room. Some furniture was knocked over. You took a deep breath and let out a rather loud sigh. After checking the entire house, you made your way towards the basement.  Gripping the handle and yanking the door open, you storm down the stairs. 

        Jade was sitting on her bed, her dog on her lap. Waht was her dog doing here? Nevermind that. Her attention turned to you. "Hey (y/n)! Bec decided to pay a visit!" she let out a giggle, petting her dog.  You sighed, closing your eyes. 

        "I can't leave you two alone for 10 minutes without coming back to an atom explosion," you groaned

        "Yeah, sorry about that." She giggled and turned back towards Bec. The moment of scilence was interupted by John screetching the ghost busters theme from the shower. You covered your ears and sat down. You needed a moment. After about five minutes of John 'singing', he stopped. You relaxed and slumped back in the chair you were sitting in. The bathroom door swung open and John came out.

        "Sweet jesus," He attempted to cover up his bare chest with his hands at the sight of you. You closed your eyes and made your way out of the basement. That was enough. You decided it was best to just clean up the living room and be over with it.
