"Levi..." Farlan muttered as he and I tried catching our breaths after running our way back just to stand in front of their room.
"Go away. I don't want to see you," We heard him coldly responded as we hear silence after, "I guess it's no good, huh?" Farlan said as she looked at me with such a very sad smile, making my heart sank in sadness, too.
"Farlan," I called, Farlan still looking dejected, "just let me handle this, okay?" I said and gave him a reassuring smile, "I'll call you if everything's alright, so please, don't be sad."
"O-okay. I'll be counting on you then, (Y/N)..." Farlan answered and started walking downstairs when I gave the door several knocks, Levi not even caring on opening it, "Levi, can I—"
"No," He plainly replied, "it doesn't really matter whatever you choose, shortstack," I mumbled as I smirked, "I'm coming in!" I cheered, opening the door and closing it quickly, "Hey!" I smiled and waved a hand at him, seeing a frown on his face.
"What do you want?" He intimidatingly asked, standing up from the bed he's sitting in a while ago, "I want to talk. Can I have the pleasure to, Mr. Shortie?" I teased, earning a click of tongue from him, "If you're here to give me shit, then don't bother."
"I'm kidding, but please, let me talk to you," I pleaded, flashing him the sweetest smile I can offer, "Tch. Even if you do that, you won't make me trust you. What is your real motive, woman?" His mouth getting as slick as ever, I paused for seconds since I really can't deny his accusation. He is doubting me and he got the right to do so. Seeing myself in a tight situation, I tried changing the topic and focused more on helping Farlan.
"To tell you honestly, I feel like I'm responsible for your argument with Farlan."
"Right. That Farlan trusted you easily and became an idiot. This is his first time not following me," He sarcastically told me, his eyes now focused on mine, making me bow down a bit, "If you're that desperate to lift that sense of responsibility you're feeling, then—"
"Don't worry, I'll be leaving your place at once, take my word."
"Not bad for a shithead like you. You're quite sharp at things."
"I sent a letter to my family saying that I'll be coming back by tomorrow, so please Levi, before I leave, make up with Farlan today," I spoke and bowed my head down, surprised that my voice is quite shaky. Levi remained silent for a while and then responded, "It's none of your business, because it is my decision whether we make up or not, so get out," He strictly ordered as he sat down again on the side of his bed and stroked his hair, "But Levi—"
"I said get out."
"Please! Hear me out!"
"Damn it! Fine! Just get out of my sight, would you!?"
"You hate me that much, huh?" I asked as I smirked to myself, "Sorry, but you'll hate me more the next time you see me," I mumbled and got myself out of the room quick.
"What happened, (N/N)-chan? Why are you sighing?"
"Isabel! You gave me a fright there..."
"Sorry! Anyways, what happened?" Isabel eagerly asked as we started walking downstairs to see Farlan, "Levi's quite hard-headed as I expected, but..."
