— ★ Eren's PoV ★ —

"Eren!"

"Mikasa..."

Feeling that the surroundings was so hot, I slowly shot my eyes open, seeing myself covered with red, iron-smelling substance.

B-blood? Why the—

My thoughts were interrupted after seeing myself near a titan's now evaporating body, the fumes around were now fading, as well as the blood around my body.

"Eren!" I heard someone called from behind, seeing Mikasa land and run towards me. She hugged me tightly as she whispered, "Thank God you're alright..."

"Hey, Mikasa..." I mumbled, She released me from her hug and looked at my blue-green orbs, "Did I just...transformed into a titan again?"

"Well, yeah—"

"(Y/N)!" Suddenly hearing Corporal Levi's voice calling for Squad Leader (L/N)'s name, my eyes widened as I looked back, cutting off our small conversation. My heart skipped multiple beats as my body suddenly moved on its own and started heading to the ruins where the Corporal is.

"E-Eren, wait!" I heard Mikasa called, seeing Armin running towards us, which I didn't think much of, since I can't remove my eyes from what's ahead of me right now. My head feels light as my heart still is beating fast, my eyes somehow feel as though they are stinging, too.

"(Y/N), wake up, darn it!" I heard Corporal Levi's voice once again as I now saw him shake someone's body, realizing it is my favorite Squad Leader.

"Corporal..." I called, seeing myself in front of them, "W-why is it that her eyes are shut?" I mumbled as I stared at Squad Leader (L/N)'s blood-drenched uniform. I think I might know what's happening, but my mind just won't accept it. I was afraid...

...afraid to lose her.

The Corporal slowly standing up after he carefully puts down Squad Leader (L/N), his eyes locked onto mine with seething rage. Without hesitation, he used his leg to kick the side of my face, which sent me flying and falling miserably down the ground. I hissed in pain and was about to sit up, but the enraged Corporal pushed me down and grabbed me by the collar of my uniform, "This is all your fault, you darn brat!" He yelled right at my face, which was now starting to swell. Mikasa was about to stop the Corporal by violence, but I told her to stop, since I know I am at fault here.

As I was about to get punched on the face again, my eyes incidentally saw Squad Leader's now opening eyelids.

"L-Le...vi... D-don't-" We both heard (Y/N)'s voice calling the Corporal's name in between hard breaths, seeing her coughed out blood after.

"Squad Leader!" I shouted as I shove the Corporal away, now kneeling down to hold her in my arms.

"Eren..." I heard her mumble as she gave a small smile. Seeing that smile from her made me feel like my heart has stopped beating. Everything around us looked like it had stopped, too.

No moving titans.

No moving soldiers of Humanity.

It's just the two of us, no one else.
