Alone (Jiyoo)

I'm in my room laying down while staring at the ceiling. I am listening to music but then my phone rings. I look at the caller id and see 'Pandami🐼.' "Helloooo!" I say. "Hey! Whatcha doing?!" Dami asks. "Nothing just lying down, are you texting Gahyeon!" I say with a smirk. I hear Dami giggle through the speaker of my phone. "Yes and I have to vent!" She says. "Alright go ahead." I say. "Okay so apparently she goes to our school too! And she works there as a part time job. She is around our age just a year younger. She loves food, I mean who doesn't but anyways yeah." Dami says and I can see her smiling in my head. "You already fell for her huh?" I laugh. "WHAT NO! I hardly know her how can I fall for her already!!?" Dami yells and I pull the phone away from my ear. "Ow! My ear T T" I say. I hear a knock on my door then it opens revealing my mother, "Hey dinner is ready come and eat!" She says then closes the door gently. "Alright I'll talk to you later, I have to go eat." I say and Dami agrees and we say goodbye.

I walk downstairs and see my father on his phone while my mother serves us dinner. "Yoohyeon!" I flinch and look at my father. "Yes dad?" I ask. "Why are your grades slipping in Algebra?!" He asks looking straight into my eyes. "Dad you know I struggle with math!" I say and sit next to my mom. "Try harder! Grades are important and I don't want my daughter to be one of the dumbest kids in her class!" He says slightly raising his voice as he walks out of the dining room. I look down and start to fidget with my hands. Everytime someone raises their voice at me, I can't help but almost cry. "It's okay sweetie, I know you are trying." My mother says. She always knows how to comfort me. "I know your father is hard on you but he is just looking out for you!" She says. I nod and we ate in silence.

I go to lay down on my bed. I can't sleep. I struggle with Insomnia;) I toss and turn in my bed trying to find a comfortable spot but nothing is working. I go down to the kitchen to snack on some things because what else can I do?

I text Dami to see if she's awake.

*Ring ring*

"Hey!" I say. "Hey uh you know its like 2 in the morning..." Dami says with a yawn. I yawn too, "Yeah and I know and you made me yawn!" I say with a chuckle. My eyes started to feel heavy as we kept talking about random things.

I put my phone on the small table next to my bed and lay down. "Good night!" I hear Dami say. "Good night... hopefully!" I say. "Tsk. Yah just go to sleep!" Dami says. We both fall asleep on call.

Am I the only one who has never fallen asleep on call with anyone? Psh. I don't even call anyone:(
