Alone (Jiyoo)

Dami and I are at home sitting on the couch. We are watching TV but then my phone chimes and a notification pops up.

Unknown number

"Hey."

I frown in confusion.

"Who is this?" I ask.

"Oh I'm sorry, it's Minji!" Minji says.

I face palm myself. How can I forget I gave her my number. Tsk.

"Oh hey Minji,what's up?" I type.

"Um Dami told me you have trouble with math and I'm pretty good in math. I could help you if you want?" She types. I turn around and scold Dami. "You told her I need help with math!" I yell. "Haha yeah!" She says and dodges my hit.

"Ahh... yeah math isn't my strongest subject..." I tell Minji.

"It's okay, uh are you going to send me your address or do you want me to send mine?" She asks.

"I'll send my address." I say as I sent my address.

"Okay I'll be over shortly." Minji says.

"She's coming over!" I say to Dami and she snaps her head at me. "When?!" Dami says as she stand up. "In a few minutes...I don't know, soon!" I say and Dami laughs. "Go freshen up!" Dami says. "Why?" I ask. She slaps the back of my head, "Tsk. So you can impress her!" She says. "I don't need to impress anyone though...I'm fine." I say and walk over to the kitchen for a snack.

Dami follows me into the kitchen. "Kim Yoohyeon at least make yourself presentable for Minji!" She says. I roll my eyes, "F i n e!" I say and head upstairs to just sit there. I decide to wear a white crop top with grey sweatpants. There that's presentable...

I head downstairs and hear two human beings having a conversation. As I reach the bottom of the stairs, I see Minji and Dami talking. "Oh hey you are finally out from your cave! I'll be going now!" Dami says and waves goodbye to both of us as I glare at her, she smirks.

"Um so, math right?" Minji says nervously. Why is she nervous tf? It's just math homework. I nod and show her to my room so we can do it.

"Sorry if my room is a lil messy..." I say to her as we enter the room. I close the door behind her. I sit down on my bed and she just stands next to the door, nervously. Why tf is she just standing there- "Oh I'm sorry, um you can sit here." I say as I pay the bed. She comes and sits down.

"So what part do you need help with?" Minji asks as she looks at my paper...which is blank. "Uh, everything?" I say and she chuckles. "Okay, I'll try my best to explain it!" She says and gets a piece of paper and pencil out as she shows me step by step of what to do. "So in order for this answer to be equal to the other side, you have to subtract from each side!" Minji says as she demonstrates. She has a nice side profile. Her nose is so cute and tiny.

"Yoohyeon?" She asks me and I snap out of my trance. "Yes. I got it!" I say as I answer the equation and get the correct answer. "Good job!" Minji says and pats me on the shoulder. I check my phone to see the time and it is already 10:00pm. "Oh it's getting late you should go." I say to her as I put my papers away. She nods and stands up to follow me downstairs.

"Thank you for helping me, I appreciate it!" I say to her as I open the door for her. "Anytime! Um...see you at school tomorrow!" Minji says as she...hugs me? I stand there frozen in place. Why did she hug me? I gently pat her back and she walks away to her car. I close the door and head back up to my room, not eating anything again.

I toss and turn in my bed. I can't sleep. Why did she hug me? Why is she so nice to me? My brain was being flooded by questions I have over everything, everything being Minji. "Ugh whatever." I say as I gran my phone and pretty much stay up all night...
