Dipper POV

"Welcome to Northwest Manor, dorks. Try not to touch anything." Is how Pacifica welcomes us to her mansion.

Everything is so fancy. Mabel has taken a notice to this. She goes up to one of Pacifica's butlers and starts messing with his face.

I hear Pacifica talking to her parents as Mabel, Candy and Grenda wander off.

"He's not wearing that, is he?" I hear Mr.Northwest ask Pacifica.

"I'm on it." She replies

Uh oh...

Pacifica takes me to a room and gives me a tuxedo.

"Try this on." She says

"Okay," I reply with a sigh.

To my surprise, it actually fit! Well, the collar was a little tight but other than that it was nice. However, I had to keep my grumpy face on and not give away any hints of enjoying myself while being around Pacifica.

"Who do you think you're impressing with this stuff?" I ask her

"Uhh, everyone." She replies, fixing my collar and bow tie.

She brings me up to the room that's supposedly haunted. With just one look I can confirm that this room is eerie and fit for a ghost.

"Yup, this looks like the kind of room that would be haunted." I say, looking at all of the taxidermy on the walls.

"However, I wouldn't be worried. You said the ghost made plates fly?" I ask and she nods in response "Well, ghosts fall under a 1 to 10 category. Floating plates falls under a category 1 also known as barely a threat." I say, sounding very smart. "I'll just hit this sucker with some anointed water and he should be out of your probably fake blonde hair." I finish

"What did you say about my hair?" She yells.

Her loud voice must've caused a disturbance, because all of the sudden blood stated dripping from the stuffed animals' mouths.

They then started chanting "ancient sins, ancient sins." And said some sort of rhyming curse.

That's when I realized that this ghost was no category one.

"Dipper, what is this?" Pacifica asked

"It's- its a category 10!" I reply. We then scream as something emerges from the fireplace.

First comes a human skeleton with an axe in its skull. Then it grows tissues, then flesh, and finally clothes.

"I smell...." he starts "a Northwest!" He yells, as we sprint under a table.

"Hurry, look through your dumb book already!" Pacifica commands

"I'm looking." I say, feeling rushed "Here, category ten, advice: PREY FOR MERCY." Man, what a help.

That's when the ghost lifts the table and finds us under it. Shoot.

"Run! Run! Run!" I yell

Pacifica takes the lead because I don't know my way around her house (and she is a little faster than me). However, before we leave, I see the ghost go into a picture then come back out.

"A haunted painting! There's a page for that!" I say to myself, but Pacifica hears me.

"What? Wait, never mind! Just look for it!" She yells as we run

I frantically search my journal for the page, running into a peacock while doing so. Pacifica did say to watch out for them, but I payed no mind.

"Here! Haunted paintings can be captured only by a silver mirror! Look there's a silver mirror right there!" I point to the room directly in front of us, and run towards it.

"Stop!" Pacifica yells and leaps in front of me.

"What are you doing! The mirror is right there!" I yell "Come on!"

"No! This room has my parents favorite carpet pattern! They'll loose it if we track mud in here!" She explains

Are you serious.

"We'll find another way!" She says, but I'm still trying to push her out of the way. Next thing I know, I push her into a painting, she falls into it and into another room, and she pulls me with her.

"What is this place?" I asked, in awe. The walls are lined with cobwebs, dust and many covered paintings.

"That's weird, I don't even know where this room is." She replies

"Hopefully the ghost doesn't either." I say

"Yeah! Maybe we're safe." I turn around to investigate, that's when I see a sheet behind Pacifica starting to reach for her.

"Look out!" I scream.

The sheet falls off of the ghost, revealing his glowing blue skin, axe in his head, and clothing that only a lumberjack wears to work.

I look down and see a silver mirror. I quickly grab it, then jump in front of Pacifica, just as the ghost reaches her. He disappears, but the impact was still enough to make us fall out a window and into some garden.

"Did you get him?" She asks.

I look into the mirror and see the ghost, begging me to let him out. I then show Pacifica.

We both stand up laughing at our accomplishment. However, Pacifica was happier than I because she ran over to me and hugged me.

I would've hugged her back, but I was in shock. I thought she hated us? Or maybe she just isn't fond of Mabel? But why does she seem so kind now... now that her parents aren't around. Maybe I haven't solved the true mystery of the Northwest Manor.
