Wendy POV

I woke up from my very long, and needed, nap. The clock read 6:30 pm. I hadn't done anything all day except sleep, so I decided to go into the living room and read a magazine.

"Hey dad," I said entering the living room, "where's my latest edition of Avoiding Eye-contact Monthly magazine?" I asked

"I don't know," my dad said while lifting weights, "maybe one of your brothers took it."

"Where are they?" I asked

That's when all three of my brothers jumped up from behind the couch and started hitting me with slingshots. My dad just laughed while saying "great sneak-attack, boys".

And they wonder why I'm never home?

I decided to get out of the house for a while and headed to the Mystery Shack to thank Dipper for taking over for me at work today. It was getting dark, and this time I grabbed a flashlight.

When I arrived at the Mystery Shack, it was closed so I had to knock on the back entrance. Mr.Pines answered the door.

"Wendy?" He asked, "What are you doing here?"

"Hey Mr. Pines! Is Dipper around?" I asked

"Oh, no he and Mabel went to the Northwest's to attend their annual party." He replied

"Wait, the exclusive, rich people only party? How did they get invited?" I asked

"I heard that all the townsfolk were let in this year. Dipper is still at the party if you need to talk to him." Stan said

"Okay! Thanks. Can I barrow the golf cart?"

"Sure, just return it by tomorrow." Stan said

I arrive at the Northwest's fairly quickly. The golf cart made it a much faster trip.

Despite believing Stan, I was still very shocked to see the gates open. I was also surprised to see Robbie inside. I was not in the mood to deal with him, so I decided to find another way into the house.

I began to wander around the side of the house, looking for another entrance, when I heard a familiar voice. It was coming from a nearby garden, and it definitely belonged to Dipper.

As I walked, I could also make out the sound of another voice. However, it was a girls but not Mabel's.

I crouched down, and peered behind a nearby tree to see who this feminine voice belonged to.

I saw Dipper sitting on a bench wearing a... tuxedo? What I saw next broke my heart. A blonde girl, about Dipper's age, wearing a flawless purple dress sat next to Dipper on the bench. They were talking about something that seemed very serious to the girl and heartbreaking to Dipper.

I tried to listen, but my mind was processing a thousand thoughts. Why was Dipper with her? Why are they alone? Why are they dressed up if the gates just opened to the town?

I was too busy thinking that I couldn't hear what was being said. I peered around one last time. This time, the girl and Dipper were hugging.

I'd seen enough. I ran back to the golf cart and drove home.
