A Silly Game Called Love

"It's become evident that my relationship with Kirito is controversial. It seems that the main issue is who is qualified enough to be his significant other. I love Kirito enough to know that he may be unsure about all of his relationships with us and that I may not be the girl that was meant for him. I'm proposing a solution."

I knew I wasn't going to like what she was going to say. Even Yui looked horrified.

"Asuna-" I tried to stop her.

"No, it's fine." She shooed me. " I propose that Kirito date each of us for a single week to ensure which girl he should be with."

I was appalled. DATE EVERYONE? WHY? Why did the girls find the deal appealing as well???

"Asuna wait wait wait. You don't think I would know what I want? Do my feelings not count?"

"Is it fair to anyone else that you've only been with me? Everyone loves you just as much Kirito and you know that. But you've also never made it clear that I'm the one you want. Why not explore all your options and be sure?"

"Does that mean we're breaking up?"

"Well, maybe it's temporary if you decide you still like me."

"Immediately no."

"You have to at least give it a try."

"Will you be exploring your options too?"

"Maybe?"

"Yeah like I said. No".

"Cmonnn Kirito. This could be fun." Rika smirked menacingly.

"I am not opposed either" Alice jumped in.

"Ughhh. Does it have to be official dating per se? I think it seems too player-ish for my taste." I whined. I don't mind hanging out but I'm not kissing ANYONE ELSE.

"Ok. A roleplay dating week. Just to see if there's interest." Asuna changed the rules.

"Oh, my Stacia. Asuna, why are you doing this to me?"

"Because you need to figure out your true feelings."

"What makes you think I shouldn't be with you."

"..."

"Answer me" I encouraged her.

"When you started freaking out last month over me leaving... I have never seen you like that before. I thought to myself that I shouldn't make you feel like that. That maybe I do hurt you too much."

"You don't hurt me? You weren't hurting me?" I lied. But I wouldn't want to be hurt by anyone else. It's usually my fault when we scuffle anyways.

"How do you know I'm exactly what you want if you've never been allowed to be in a romantic setting with anyone else?"

"Because I just know?" And the thought of my girlfriend falling for someone else makes me sick, how could she be okay with this?

"Seriously, Kirigaya. I want you to do this with an open mind and heart. For me."

Uh. She dead ass referred to me by my last name.

"So what order will this go in?" Silica blushed in curiosity.

"Sugu. You're the sister. You decide!" Rika ordered.

"Hmmm. Fine ok". No way did she just agree to do that.

"Do I get to go?" Yui asked confused.

"I guess you could just come with me" I reluctantly complied. Asuna smiled. Even though this was the dumbest thing I ever agreed to, I'd do it for her.

"Ok here's the order. Silica, Ronnie, Rika, Liena, Alice, Sinon, then Asuna."

"You added the others for why?"

"I added every girl that likes you to the list that you've talked to more than 5 times and could stand a chance." Sugu reasoned.

I would have to wait essentially 2 months to see Asuna for a week cause that's "fair".

"Ok...". The girls squealed. I looked to Asuna for approval but she wasn't looking at me. She had a bittersweet smile planted for all the girls she just made happy, then I realized the other reason she wanted to do this.

"Minus Alice and Sugu because they live with him, the other girls can't talk to him unless it's their week or it's an emergency," Rika added to the rules.

"Deal," all the girls say at the same time agreeing to this love game.

I turned around to the tap on my shoulder.

"Since you're off next week, mind if I hang out with Asuna?" Klein snickered through his smile.

"Yes, I do mind" rolling my eyes at him was involuntary.

"I say yes. Besides, you're technically single starting today." Asuna joked along. I didn't even like the thought of them hanging out around me.

I waited all this time to see my girlfriend just for her to not be my girlfriend the moment I saw her.

I don't know why I'm surprised. Having to fake a smile through these fake dates is just my luck.
