Newt
The plan to get Minho back was set in motion. We had had so many meetings about how this was going to go and now we were doing it. But I couldn't help the nerves from sitting heavily on my chest.
I hadn't seen Faith since that morning and it was making me nervous that I couldn't see how her and Thomas were getting on with their portion. All I could think about as I sat and waited was the morning we had had.

We were laid together, tangled under the covers, skin on skin, her drawing patterns onto my chest.
"We probably should have gotten more sleep last night." I smiled and she giggled.
"We can sleep when this is over. We might as well enjoy the night times when there's a possibility we could die tomorrow." She smiled and I shrugged.
"Good way of thinking about it."
"Newt, if this plan doesn't work tomorrow, we'll have to go it alone and find him. Vince won't help us if this fails." She said and I nodded.
"I know."
"Would you follow me? If i went to find him?" She asked and looked up at me with large eyes.
"You know Id follow you anywhere." I smiled and kissed her forehead.
"Even if it meant potential death?"
"Anywhere."

I smiled to myself, knowing it was the truth. No matter what happened between us, she was my forever.  I just hoped to myself that we got a forever.

It was gut wrenching to have to just sit and wait for the signal. I kept imagining the worst. Her being shot, falling off the train, what if they never caught the train in the first place?  My senses were overwhelmed as I listened out for that high whistle.
My chest tightened when I heard the train come screeching to a halt and various voices shouting out.
"Come on, come on, come on." I sighed, just wanting to see her face. I wanted to know that she was ok.
As soon as that sweet whistle sounded out, I shot out from behind my hiding place, my eyes immediately searching for her.
As soon as I saw her, I quickened my pace but came to a stop in front of her and Thomas when I saw him hold a piece of random material up against her head, whilst she wiped at her nose and lip.
My heart sank.

"Don't worry about me, just get this done." She said before I had the chance to say anything.
"I've got her just go." Thomas said and I couldn't help but roll my eyes as I shoved the goggles over my eyes and got to work on dismembering the train.
Every now and then I sneaked a look back at them.
He was still holding the material against her head , and occasionally she would wipe the blood dripping from her lip.
I couldn't help but feel angered at the way their faces were so close, the way he caressed her head, he wiped the blood off of her chin.
But the worry and fear overpowered the anger.
What had happened?
Who did this?

"Newt we've got company." I heard her yell as she started up the ladder on the side of the train.
"Don't rush me!" I yelled back, probably more snappy than I should have.
"Get it done!" She yelled back and again I rolled my eyes.
It was distracting trying to get this job done whilst the berg was hovering above us and while my mind was just wrapped up in Faith.
As soon as the bolt had been broken, I looked up and nodded and watched as Vince have the signal for the berg to lift up the train compartment.
"Get up here!" Faith yelled down to me as I packed away my things.
Just as the compartment lifted into the air I clung onto the ladder for dear life, too afraid to even climb up fearing that I would fall if I did. All i focused on was her bloodied up face staring down at me, making sure I was still holding on.

When we finally touched down I thanked the heavens that I was able to hold on that long. I jumped down and saw that Faith and Thomas were already breaking into the container.
I sighed and quickly ran to join them.
"Minho?" Faith whispered to herself as she looked over every face, she was so enthralled that she didn't even notice Aris and Sonya. I smiled at them both and nodded at them, acknowledging them when she didn't.
"He's not here." She said, a horrified look on her face.
"What?" Thomas breathed as he stared at her.
"He's. Not. Here. Fuck." She said and pushed past both of us, slamming her fist against the container as she left.
"Not a happy bunny." Thomas sighed.
"How is he not here."
"We messed up. Now what do we do?" He whispered as we walked side by side out of the container into the heat.
"She wants to get him. I don't think she'll stop until we do." I said and he nodded.
"Count me in." He said and it was my turn to nod. "Are you getting her or shall I?"
I shrugged, "she doesn't seem to want me but, I'll try."

I ran and saw her sitting on the sand, just blankly staring out at nothing. I sighed and placed myself next to her.
"What happened?" I asked plainly.
"A fight with one of the Wicked guards on the train. Obviously I won." She said with a sarcastic smile.
"Does it hurt?"
"Kills."
"Let me see." I whispered and for the first time in the conversation she lifted her face towards me.
She had a gash on her head and a split in her lip, but both had stopped bleeding, as had her nose.
I cupped the side of her face gently before placing a light kiss to her lips.
"I was worried about you today." I said, keeping my forehead pressed against hers.
"I was fine. All under control." She smiled.

But the smile quickly faded and she pulled away from me slightly.
"Newt he wasn't there." She whispered and I nodded, "You know what that means."
"We're going after him. Thomas knows. He's in." I said and she nodded with a small smile.

"I knew you guys were talking about me, as always." Thomas said slumping down on Faith's other side, quickly placing an arm around her shoulders.
"We have to go and get him." Faith sighed staring forward again.
"There's a city. Aris and Sonya said there was a last remaining city. That's where Wicked's compound is." Thomas said and Faith nodded.
"Then that's where we go."
"Together." I said and intertwined Faiths fingers with mine, just as Thomas squeezed her shoulders.
"Together.".
