(Spooky story for the Aligned continuity! "Starscream tells Knockout and Steve a spooky story".)
It's a dark and stormy night, and Knockout, having a fascination with human horror films, didn't want to waste this chance. So he convinced Starscream to join him, and Steve came somewhat uninvited, to tell spooky stories.
"And that is how I survived the Terrorcon spread across the Nemesis," Knockout says, finishing his spooky story.
Starscream stares at Knockout, confusion and disappointment written all over his faceplate, "Knockout why did you tell that story?" He asks his friend, "I was there."
"Just because you were there Starscream doesn't make it any less scary of a story," Knockout replies.
"But it takes away all of the anticipations because we know how it ends!" Starscream complains.
"Yeah!" Steve agrees.
Knockout rolls his optics, "Soooo overdramatic." He sighs, "If my story wasn't good in your opinion then show me better."
"Yeah I want to hear your story, I bet it's gonna be great!" Steve says, excitedly.
"You too?" Starscream asks Steve.
"Yeah," Steve answers excitedly.
"...Fine!" Starscream reluctantly agrees, rolling his optics.
"Make sure it's actually good Screamer," Knockout says
"It will, unlike yours." He responds, annoyed, "It was a while ago when I wasn't with the Decepticons." He explains, "It was a dark night and I was alone with my thoughts on the Harbringer."
(When the story takes place)
Starscream's thinking, planning his next move/what he should do. He's currently taking a break though, with his mind having a hard time deciding what to do next in the grand scheme of things.
Even if he's taking a break his senses are still on high alert like usual, making sure nothing could be there waiting to strike. He knew there probably wasn't anything there, but it was better to be careful just in case.
Thump
He jerks around quickly, his wings jerking up as well, his rockets ready to fire on whatever is there. Yet, nothing is there except for a feeling of uncertainty. His wings go down a bit with the relief that nothing is there.
"It's nothing me." He mutters to himself trying to make this anxious feeling go away. It does go away a bit though so it somewhat works.
Thump
He jerks around again as his wings flare up as before. Seeing nothing, his wings stay up this time. That anxious feeling continues to stay. It's nothing. He tries to reassure himself, to get the feeling to go away, but it still remains.
Swirrrrr
He recognizes the noise alone even without looking at it and quickly dives out of the way before that rocket could hit him. He then gives his attention, after he's out of the way, to his attacker.
Dread is what he feels as his optics land on it. It looks Cybertronian, but he could barely tell with its ripped and chewed-up body, the burn marks on its body, messed up wings with bits of them missing, and..... chipped black and purple paint. Its arms pointed up to face him. Smoke still rising from one of them from where the rocket was.
He needs to get out of here to escape... that. He needed to so that he can survive.
He turns his heel and runs, but for not very long. He's not running because he's a coward, well he is but not this time. He's very much scared, but there's a plan spinning in his mind. He likes living after all.
He, after only running for a couple of seconds, turns around to face the thing, his arms raised facing it as he begins to fire back at it. Like it had before to him. He pulls back his finger launching the missile.
The creature teleports out of the way, What!? Starscream thinks, backing up a bit. He quickly looks around for where it could've teleported. It reappears. Starscream quickly turns to face it with his arms raised towards it. He fires at it again.
The rocket hits. It could've teleported, but it didn't. Starscream doesn't care though it never occurs to him in the moment. The thing begins to fade after it's been hit, like a flurry of mist or fog, and then it's gone.
(Back to the present)
"And that's it." Starscream says as he finishes the story as Steve and Knockout stare at him, "Well I'm going to go do something more productive." He begins to leave.
"Starscream you just can't leave like that!" Knockout exclaims, which Starscream ignores as he continues to leave. Knockout rolls his optics.
"I wonder what that ghost was," Steve says.
"If that story was hundred percent truthful," Knockout says not hiding his annoyance at all.
Starscream overhears this, and he rolls his optics. He now knows what that ghost was and what that was about, but he'd never tell.
"Here I am Starscream." Skywarp reports.
"Skywarp I have a new assignment for you," Starscream says, "I need you to take this bomb to the coordinates I'll give you." He holds out coordinates and the bomb for Skywarp to plant.
"Ok!" Skywarp says with a salute before grabbing the things and leaving. Starscream watches the purple and black mech leave as slight relief runs through his own metallic body.
(This took way too long to make like I started this in September and it was originally going to be a Halloween story, but I hoped you enjoyed it and have a good day/night!)
