17. failed attempt

Freya could not take the situation and environment. As much as she loved L'Manberg, she hated what it has become. It was not home anymore, it felt like a prison now. It was suffocating, what with the whispers and looks.

So like the first time, she locked her door and pulled all the sheets off her bed. Tying all of them together tightly before doing the same thing that she had done before.

Wrapping it around the leg of her bed, she collected all the sheets and pushed the window open.

Without thinking, she threw the sheets out the window, letting the wind blow it in the air. Tugging the sheet, she made sure that the tie was tight before climbing on the window sill.

Although before she could even jump off, her door busted open making her turn. She clenched her jaw at the sight. There stood a guilty Niki, worried Tommy, and a very much angry Wilbur.

"Get off the window sill Frey." Niki said softly. The redhead shook her head, "I don't want to be here anymore." She admitted. Tommy feigned an offended and hurt expression while Wilbur scoffed, "What is there to not like?

"You have everything you can ask for Freya. We can give you whatever you want." The older sibling said. Freya shook her head, "You won't understand-" "Then make us understand." Tommy cut her off.

Freya stared at him with a frown, "I'm sorry Tommy." That was all she said before she let herself fall off the sill and into the air.

Breathing in and out, she readied to summon her powers to save her from falling onto her back but before she could even do anything she saw sparks of purple surrounding her.

Raising her hand, she realized what it was. Before she could comprehend anything she was on the ground, she glared at the pair, "I'm sorry Frey, we owe Wilbur a lot of things." Tubbo said as the half enderman new citizen named Ranboo lowered his head and hand as Freya heard the footsteps of her family.

She can hear the orders made by her older brother but she didn't care. She couldn't feel anything, it wasn't because she got hurt by the fall or by Ranboo's magic, it was because of the sinking feeling of failure.

Freya failed in escaping, she failed in reaching and finding Sapnap. She failed miserably which made her feel helpless.

It didn't take long for the others to bring her to a new room where the windows were locked shut and was closer to Wilbur's room, making it harder for her if she tried to escape again.
