𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐒𝐖𝐈𝐌
after a delicious dinner made by neytiri and tuk, talia was helping kiri clean the table. they got along fairly well, not having too much in common but both were generally kind people.
and because kiri has been secretly watching the avatar girl with her two brothers as of lately, she wanted to have a conversation about it.
kiri spoke up once she knew it was just the two of them, "so, talia, have you met anyone special yet?"
talia was taken aback by the question, for sure. but she trusted kiri and didn't mind (kind of) sharing with her. "oh, i mean- kind of. why?"
the younger girl shrugged her shoulders, "just wondering. i thought maybe there might've been someone- maybe someones." she implied more than one person, making talia snap her head to her.
"what?" she asked baffled. kiri scoffed, "please, i've known they liked you since the beginning-"
talia's eyes widened, "-they like me back?" kiri realized her mistake there and grimaced as she gave up their 'secret', if you could even call it that.
"yes. and to be honest, you all could've been together for weeks now if anyone actually confessed how they felt," she rambled on and continued, "but now that you do know, what are you going to do about it?"
talia pinched her brows together, thinking over the deep question. "i don't know."
"oh my eywa, must i do everything?" kiri groaned playfully making talia laugh.
"what am i supposed to do, kiri?" the two girls paused their cleaning to fully look at each other. sighing, she replied, "follow your heart."
"i cannot choose between them." she whispered truthfully. the sully girl smiled gently, "you don't have to."
the confused expression returned, "i don't?" kiri shook her head, "i thought you knew? anyway- it's not exactly common to have more than one mate, but it does happen occasionally. you just need to seek permission from eywa."
talia grinned to herself, hearing that it really was possible to follow her heart. kiri noticed, "i see you have your mind made up. my stupid brothers are lucky."
the avatar girl had pure shock written on her face, "how did you-"
"let's save the time with asking questions. i pretty much know everything, but believe me that i'm happy for you. even if you chose those two skxawngs, anyone can see they make you happy."
smiling at the younger girl, talia felt a lump in her throat. this conversation was growing to be more than she thought, but appreciated it nonetheless. "thank you, kiri."
