𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐘𝐀𝐌
the three teens, talia, lo'ak and neteyam, had fallen asleep after their confessions on the forest floor, the exhaustion catching up to them after a long night.
neteyam was the first to wake, his eyes flit open and soon realized he was holding something in his arms— rather someone. talia lay with her back against his chest while his arms wrapped around her torso.
looking over and past the girl in his arms, there was lo'ak. he lay on his back with talia's arms and leg swung over his body. the younger brothers arm held her thigh subconsciously, as he was still sound asleep.
neteyam knew his parents would be awake soon so they would have to hurry to get back, although he wished he could stay in this moment forever. he was finally holding the girl he'd dreamt about for weeks, wondering how she would feel against himself. his mind always wandered to her, like it was captivated by admiration.
for now, neteyam just traced random shapes onto the side of talia. a few minutes went by when she finally hummed to life, feeling a soft touch feather at her skin.
talia craned her neck to see the awake sully boy, "morning, ma teyam." then snuggled her head against his. he sighed in content as he embraced her, "morning, my love. did you sleep okay?"
talia giggled, "yes, i think so. dunno really, was back in my human form for a few hours."
"that's right, hey- when do we get to see your human self?" he quizzed, now playing with her hair. she shrugged, "anytime, i suppose. when i'm not busy training."
another few blissful minutes went by when the eldest brother spoke, "we need to get going soon." he was worried about getting in trouble, knowing they weren't allowed out in the forest past eclipse let alone all night.
talia sighed, "i know, but lo'ak looks so peaceful. maybe we should just stay here the entire day."
neteyam let out a soft snort, "lo'ak can get his beauty sleep another time, maybe when we get grounded for staying out all night." he joked.
at the mentions of his name, lo'ak stretched awake. he turned and noticed talia still had her leg across his, with his own hand draped with it. without a care, he started rubbing her thigh. "i could get used to this."
talia grinned and brought her hand to his hair, swirling a braid with her finger. "me too. you're quite comfortable, you know."
"wanna stay here all day?" lo'ak suggested more seriously than talia did a moment ago.
"i was just saying-" talia began but neteyam interrupted, "no."
lo'ak seemed to forget his older brother was still there and jumped up at the sound of his voice. "holy shit, bro! fuck-" he clutched his hand over his heart from the startle.
