talia laid back down laughing at his reaction, which she wasn't sure why he was so shocked but it was hilarious to her.

neteyam rolled his eyes, "as i was saying, we need to get back soon. mom and dad are for sure up and going to be wondering where we are."

the elder brother helped talia up from the ground, keeping her hand in his as they stood waiting for lo'ak.

the younger brother finally came around, walking up to talia and taking her other free hand in his. he brought it up to his lips and pressed a gentle kiss to the back of her hand, making the girls heart flutter.

she sent him a grateful smile, which he sent back with a flirty wink.

then the trio walked back to the village, hand in hand (in hand). arriving, they lucked out because no one suspected anything. in fact, jake and neytiri were still sleeping and the only one awake was tuk.

"nete!" tuk screeched when she saw her older brother, clinging to his arms until her pulled her up and carried her. "what are you doing?" he asked.

she pointed to the wooden toys she was playing with before on the ground by the tent, "trying to find someone to play with until breakfast. kiri said no! she was so mean!"

"i'll play with you, tuk. c'mon." he sent an apologetic glance to talia before heading off with his sister to play.

lo'ak brought her attention back, "want to help me make breakfast?" she sent an eager nod, her stomach beginning to growl to show her hunger.

they crept inside the hut, noticing the sleeping bodies of the other sully family members, then went to the food.

talia and lo'ak cut up some fruit, cooked eggs and poured water into cups. everything was set up for once the family woke up, which they shortly did after the wafting smell of food met their noses.

neytiri walked over with a smile, "this looks great. thank you my son and talia." then she took a seat to begin eating. "where is tuk?" she asked.

"with neteyam, i can get them." talia excused herself and left the tent to look for the brother and sister duo. she found them not too far behind the tent, playing with the same wooden toys.

creeping up to listen in, she heard tuk, "no neteyam! you need to make her voice sound like a girl." he responded, "but tuk-" but she shut him down.

"fine, fine. 'i'm the princess of all the land, what wish can i grant you little one?'" neteyam's voice was noticeable higher, playing along to tuk's rules.

talia burst into laughter, giving away her hiding spot from eavesdropping. neteyam shot up from the ground with his ears pinned back, he didn't know anyone was listening, let alone his girl.

"we were just-" he began to explain but talia waved him off after laughing initially, "that was really cute, you're such a good brother." then looked to tuk who picked up her brothers toy and played alone.

neteyam scratched the back of his neck, "oh. thanks. anyway, what are you doing out here?" she suddenly remembered what she was sent out here for, "oh, right! breakfast is ready."

at the words 'breakfast' and 'ready', tuk dropped her toys and took off running towards the tent. apparently she was really hungry. the other two laughed as they watched the little girl and walked back themselves.

at breakfast, neytiri kept her maternal eye on her sons. they had a different, more happy glow about them. even more so than since meeting talia, which made her wonder if something happened. maybe she would have to have a conversation with them later.
