they lost themselves for a minute, embracing their touch once again. talia felt herself getting more flustered, wanting to continue their heated passion but remembered they were in the village garden.

so the avatar girl reluctantly pulled away first, her lips still ghosting over his. lo'ak look down at her with lustful eyes, "so pretty," he muttered.

talia blushed and fought everything within her to not kiss him again, knowing they were in the open public of the clan. "as much as i want to continue, we can't. not here, anyway."

lo'ak sighed, "i know. and i've got to go help my dad scout anyway, so we should head back."

with their hands interlocked, the pair made their way back to the sully hut. on the way, they ran into neteyam. the older brother smiled as he noticed them, his eyes widened when he realized what hung from around her neck.

"hi teyam!" she beamed, her positive energy radiating off her. he smiled back, "hey, sweetheart. what's on your neck?" he asked as he pointed towards the jewelry.

talia pressed her fingers against the flower necklace once again as she smiled to lo'ak, "lo made it for me, isn't it beautiful!"

neteyam matched her smile, "it sure is, tal. nice one lo'ak." he replied sincerely, happy for his brother. lo'ak was genuinely surprised by his older brothers reaction, having expected a sarcastic or teasing remark. instead, he looked proud of him.

lo'ak suddenly felt those jealous twinges slip away, the realization that he had no reason to feel that way with neteyam. looking back at talia, she held her smile for them both.

hopefully his necklace gift was the first step to him learning to contain and express his emotions more carefully from now on.

"yeah, thanks bro." lo'ak responded after clearing his head from his newfound thoughts.

talia was explaining everything that happened, how romantic it was that she was brought to the same flower garden that lo'ak made the necklace in. unfortunately, the boys had to leave with their father which made them have to say goodbye all to soon.

"when will you be back?" talia frowned, not wanting them to leave yet. the boys looked to each other then shrugged, "dunno. dad has us out until he feels ready to return, we might not be back until late tonight." neteyam spoke.

lo'ak used his thumb to smooth her frown line crease by her mouth, "don't be sad, baby. otherwise i'll be thinking about you the whole time i'm gone."

talia felt a small smile slip through, "what if i want you to?"

he returned the grin, "better leave me with something better to think about."

without hesitating, she leaned in and connected her lips to his. it was only a moment, but it felt like magic.

lo'ak hummed and sent a wink, "much better."

talia giggled but noticed neteyam with a raised brow behind her, "what am i? chopped teylu?" he joked.

she quickly moved towards him and brought his lips down to hers, her face blushing from their kiss. "come back soon, okay?"

neteyam gave a lopsided smile, "trust me, we're coming back as soon as possible."

with another goodbye and a wave, talia watched the brothers walk in the opposite direction of her. when she finally turned around, she decided to head to the sully tent and find kiri.

but of course, with her luck, she ran into a group of girls. specifically, ixana's group of girls. they instantly noticed her and began giggling while whispering something. then ixana herself spoke up, "oh, hey talia."
