lo'ak threw talia one last look before running out of the tent with the kids following close behind. but once they were out of sight, she notice one little girl didn't follow the group.

bending down to her level, talia spoke softly, "hi, sweetie. why didn't you go with your friends?"

the girl lifted her eyes to the older girls, "i'm too scared to play."

talia frowned at the small child's words, "oh honey, what's your name?"

"miva," she sniffled.

the avatar girl was now sitting next to miva in hopes to try and comfort her. "why are you scared, miva?"

miva jumped into her arms and threw her head on her shoulder, "i don't like monsters! they're scary!"

talia realized right then that when she mentioned lo'ak being a monster mustive triggered something within the girl. she felt awful so she started stroking her hair and back to soothe her.

"it's okay, miva. there are no monsters, it's only the game i made up." talia told her, hoping she could make the little girl feel better. but she shook her head, "no! monsters are real and scary!"

talia continued stroking her hair while gently rocking her. the little girl slowed her sniffling and fell into a sleep on her shoulder with her arms wrapped tight around the teen. she looked up from miva and saw lo'ak standing in the doorway with the rest of the kids. his eyes softened seeing talia with the little girl's state, so he quickly ushered the kids back outside.

the avatar girl soon fell asleep herself, only to be awakened an hour later to the same two women from earlier. one of them was miva's mother and took her home, waking talia in the process. she decided to walk around the village and find lo'ak since he hadn't returned yet.

talia was wandering, not in too much of a rush but kept her eyes peeled for the boy. during her lookout, spider joined her.

"what's up?" he asked as he attempted to keep up with her long strides. "looking for lo'ak- have you seen him?"

spider shook his head, "no but i'll help you look for him, i'm bored anyway."

so the two lifelong friends kept their search together for a little while longer. just as they were about to give up and head back to the sully's, spider spotted him.

"oh look- there he is!" he pointed towards a two teens standing together. talia squinted her eyes in the direction of his pointing, indeed seeing lo'ak. but he was with someone.

"wait, who is that?" the human boy asked as they got closer. in sudden realization, the avatars heart dropped.

then the two watched lo'ak and the other person lean in and kiss each other, the act quick but enough to get a point across. talia knew it was ixana as she obviously knows about that entire situation, but her human friend didn't. before she could stop and explain anything to him, spider grew furious.

spider began running in his direction with anger written on his face, his emotions fuming because in his mind lo'ak was cheating on talia with whoever he just kissed.

talia picked up her pace to keep up with the running boy, which the two other na'vi still had no idea what was happening.

when spider finally got to lo'ak, the latter began to speak, "oh, what's up bro-" but as he finishing his sentence, the human boy punched him across the face.
