"tam tam, sevin." she whispered after the animal screeched. "let's go for a ride," she grinned then gracefully hopped on the backside, getting into a riding position. she connected tsaheylu and commanded sevin to fly, the animal listened right away and flapped its outstretched wings.

before she knew it, they were soaring through the morning sky. talia missed the feeling of the breeze in her face and against her skin, something she would always love was the adrenaline and independence in flying.

they cruised around the floating mountains, weaving over and under the vines connecting them, and down a cliff side for the ocean views. the vibrant pink and yellow hues of the sunrise sent a smile on her face as she embraced the beauty of life around her. she was once again reminded just how lucky she was to be breathing and being given a second chance.

"we should get back, sevin. i'm going to become one of the people today," she told her ikran who grumbled in response, "i know i've missed you too. i'll take you flying more soon, i promise."

then they flew back to the edge of the village, but not too close so talia could return undetected. she thanked sevin one last time before scurrying back to her hut, wanting it to seem as if she never left. though when she returned, she saw lo'ak waiting in front of her hut with his arms crossed and a frown plastered on his face.

he noticed her and a look of relief washed over him before scowling again, "talia you can't run off like that!"

she playfully rolled her eyes, "i just went for a quick fly."

lo'ak grit his teeth but softened soon after, "at least let me know if you plan on disappearing. i woke up and you were gone!"

"i couldn't wake you, you're such a cute sleeper." she smirked and teased him. "where is neteyam?"

lo'ak chuckled, "i told him you went fishing so he's just wandering out in the forest."

"lo'ak!" talia raised her brows at his confession. "he's just as worried as you are, you can't trick him like that."

he raised his hands, "not my fault that he listened to me." but talia lightly slapped his arm, "yes it is, skxawng."

"see, that's why i did it. he taught you that word and now you only ever call me it." lo'ak gave a look while trying to make his point.

talia tried not to laugh, "we should go get him before he's out there all day and misses my uniltaron."

before lo'ak could argue, he was following talia back into the forest. he trailed behind her, admiring her ass shamelessly. he decided to be playful and tug on her tail, his mischievous side shining. "like what you see, ma lo'ak?" she grinned back at him after she realized why he never walked closer with her, catching his eyes drifting down her slender body.

but he didn't back down, not afraid that he was caught. "mhm, love it." he winked.

talia let out a breathy laugh, pulling lo'ak to walk side by side with her now. they were almost to the fishing spot, where hopefully neteyam was still loitering around.

"neteyam?" talia shouted out as they arrived, not seeing him by the water. the two walked around and looked for him, the girl eventually finding him once she looked up.
